  1. Winnable game if not for the persistent questionable lineups. Need J-Dub back immediately, Mark is astray without him. Could do without the Ousmane 10 mins and Bertans 10 mins.

  2. QuileGon-Jin

Joel getting more FT’s than shot attempts is insane

  3. StormStylo

still proud 🙌 gave em hell either way. fuck embiid. fuck patbev. fuck the refs. thunder up.

  4. lmaoooyikes

Refs weren’t good but Mark lost us this game, we were literally within 7 at one point in the 4th but Mark decided to keep Bertans even though he was an absolute cone on defense and the lead grew to ~12 by the time Shai and Chet came back

Can’t completely wreck our defense just on the chance that Bertans can get hot

  5. Hammyboi230

Good fight. We’re gonna win plenty of games this season if we play the same way we did tonight.

  6. Severe-Background-74

Officiating was something else, but onto the next one anyway! Great Chet game at least

  7. Conservative minute for minute lineups is what lost us this game.

They let Maxey play 41 minutes and Mark was a miser.

  8. RaffyDisappeared

it’s been a bad 48-72 hours to be a thunder fan

  9. The good news is that really seemed like we were one JDub away from winning. Props to the team for not giving up until the final buzzer. Chet definitely showed some more clutch talent even with the loss.

  10. allthenews2008

Our execution wasn’t perfect but that was a perfectly winnable game if the refs didn’t gift the Sixers free throws at will. Just atrocious one-sided officiating.

  11. amari_prince

All in all, can’t be too mad. Lots of people expected this to be a repeat of the Nugs bc of Embiid vs Chet but Chet has shown to learn quickly (first bulls game compared to the second for example) and we made good adjustments. We didn’t completely crumble and showed fight!

    Idk about Bertans tho lol

  12. Chet had more points than Embiid on 19(?) less free throws. Do we think that puts to bed the whole “Embiid will eat Chet alive” thing?

  13. Medium-Passenger9602

SGA-Chet-JDub + shooters is the obvious blueprint.

Why the “roster exploration” for fringe rotation guys that probably won’t matter in the long run continues baffles me. It will actively neuter the ceiling of this team until that is changed.

  14. DJ-two-timing-timmy

I think it’s evident we need a solid big bodied PF who can rebound, space the floor and give us at least 15 ppg.

  15. 3rd quarter after Chet sat is when we lost all the momentum. Sadly SGA had a worse moment then, as he only scored 2pts during the whole 3rd quarter. The Bertan’s awful defence helped 76ers gain momentum too.

Also, the refs were pretty bad this game.

  16. blacksoxing

Answer: 20+ PPG missing from the lineup

    Question: WHO IS JALEN WILLIAMS???

  17. I didn’t expect this game to be that close. It looked like a winnable game halfway through but officiating and rebounding killed us.

Also I don’t understand why Mark insists on keeping absolute trash players like Lindy and Bertans on the court when they immediately have a negative impact on the game

  18. OKC2023champs

Can someone please clip Joel’s FTs in the 1st- 3rd quarter 💀

  19. H9m8urgalar

Did Cason Wallace get injured or did coach just stop playing him

  20. crustyzebra0

Feels like giddey’s average game is 4-12 from the field at this point lol

  21. Josheshua

First game this season where Shai wasn’t our best player

  22. I’d sure love it if Mark would experiment with keeping two bigs on the floor at all times.

Feels like we’ve seen every combination of small ball under the sun but it’s a rare sight to ever see two bigs on the floor.

  23. TheyCallMeTheWizard

I’m not going to waste the energy complaining, but some things need fixed in order to compete

    1) We have to rebound. At this point it’s not a bunch of lazy players, it’s a coaching decision. My God it kills us against decent teams.

    2) Chet is proving to be reliable enough for the ball in his hands more down the stretch. Great problem to have

    3) These rotations with all of our decent players out is killing us. We’re the cool quirky team but then get eaten alive if Chet and SGA are sitting. And on that note, Bertans is straight cheeks

    4) Lakers made a video of the non calls on LBJ, we need to do the same for SGA. Otherwise you just embrace that, like AI and CP3 who were out of favor with the refs, you’ll never win because it wasn’t in the cards.

That’s it. I think our players are doing great, all of those are really coaching calls.

The rest is just not great shooting but that happens sometimes especially with a young team. Too bad it had to happen against a team with Joel and Pat B.

  24. turkmileymileyturk

Looks like we are shopping Bertans.

Interesting we closed the game with basically three PF’s (Bertans, Jwill, “Chet”) until we needed Giddey for SLOB plays. And that somehow got us in the game.

  25. GhostAvila

Pulling Chet out in the middle of 3rd and not putting him in the first 5 minutes of the 4th is crazy, especially in a game without J-dub. Kenrich playing less then 20 minutus today didn’t help either.

  26. noctisakashi

21 FTs vs Chet 2. Embiid is the worst star in the league to watch.

  27. H9m8urgalar

Refs suck. Joel is awful to watch. But I’ve been the biggest giddy defender for years, and I’m starting to lose it. This dude hits like two of the layups he blew, we probably win this game.

  28. _bbuckley_

Ngl I was at the iron bowl (Auburn fan and last game as a student I’m still very fragile don’t say anything about it) but it I got back and watch the last like 30 seconds but with all the giddey distraction I’ll take a 4 point loss against a really good eastern conference team. TTFU

  29. lusidaisy

They had 16 more points than us in FTs and only won by 4. I’m not happy, but I’ll take it as a positive sign of development. If the 76ers hadn’t shot 45 FTs, we would have won.

  30. Outrebounded by 11.

    Presti has to address this.

We don’t need to give up the farm. We don’t need to trade our best players. We don’t need to trade for someone making 50 million dollars on a five year deal.

But we are going to waste a year when we could get out of the first round and give our team much needed playoff experience by farting around with the worst rebounding stats in the league.

Just move Bertans and Mann as salary and negotiate picks as needed to get us a rebounding specialist.

  31. PhoenixFire417

Joel is elite at getting to the line. It’s the most impressive part of his game tbh. Too bad Chet is on the rookie minute restrictions…

  32. AggravatingGrocery12

Chet is him. We need Dubs shot creating ability aside from Shais. Cason deserved more play time Mark gotta be better.

  33. Aggressive_Slice4620

He’s a head scratcher off the court and on offense but if only Bazely panned out. He’s the perfect complementary 4 for Chet defensively. He’s strong enough to hold off against some 5, he’s athletic and switchable to guard wings and grab rebounds. But he’s basketball IQ was so bad he hurt the team so much offensively.

  34. Not a Thunder fan but 45 free throws is ridiculous, this why no one likes Philly man

  35. Embarrassed_Hold_901

So what I’ve realised is, unless we are running a line up of SGA, Jdub, Chet, Dort/Wallace- we can’t give Bertarns mins. We need exceptional defense for him to be on the floor, if not it’s a massive net negative
