Donovan Mitchell | Cavs vs Lakers Post Game | 11.25.2023
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell spoke to the media following a 121-115 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on November 25, 2023 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
I’ve been saying this since day one bringing Mitchell here was stupid if it’s not broke don’t fix it we didn’t need a star we had three Donovan has selfish play force his shots and don’t pass to open teammates he reminds me a lot of Carmelo Anthony he’s going to shoot us in or out of the game. Period and as far as bickerstaff he has yet to learn how to make adjustments and rotation you had the rookie 5 for 6 porter jr and you benched him 🤔 he’s been playing excellent b ball since hawkovan been out make it make sense. Cavs in trouble unless they get rid of Donovan he’s not him this is Darius garland team give it back to him and watch what this team does
This dude comes back and stagnates the offense and defense. He kept going 1 on 4 or 1 on 5. He acting like he doesn’t wanna play for the Cavs, they should start exploring a trade.
It makes one think with Mitchell out the Cavs played really well when Garland was out and Mitchell is in we play really well, so neither one is missed when out, so do we need both, and both are horrible at giving up poor passes that are picked off and go for points against us, both drive-in and 2-3 defenders box them in and then they are forced to make bad forced passes, or a shot with a hope and prayer it goes in, this is JB fault for not getting on them, Garland good for 3-5 a game Mitchell the same, then they is a falloff in assists when both are in, this is not working as it is. When Porter is in, he makes smart passes, good assists, and rarely forces shots, Garland and Mitchell hurt the team concept, much like LBJ and Kyrie in, the rest set in corners and stood around, The Cavs played their best when they had good ball movement and high assists numbers. Both are excellent players but they both need to adjust their game if both scored 30 and we lose does it really matter. . How many points do they give up in the paint? Why are the Bigs outside while guards can drive in, where is the rebounding on OF and put backs? Something is wrong with this team and they not looking any better than last year.

Cavs need to sign Donaven Mitchell to a long term contract.
