  1. I get pointing out Fox's hot shooting now but he had a similar deal last season where he just caught fire from Nov-Dec. It could be different this year with the higher 3FG volume he's attempting but I'd love to see him sustain that. Regarding the Hali trade, I feel Domas and the development of shooting threats the Kings have are the stabilizing force that is letting Fox slowly come on his own.

  2. Amazing to say this right after Dyson Daniels and Herb Jones held him to 14/2/0 on 28% shooting. Put some respect on the Pelicans

  3. Fox is averaging 29 points and 5 assists. Haliburton is averaging 25 points and 12 assists. Fox is a top 25-35 player. Haliburton is three years younger and a top 10 – 15. These are not the same.

  4. See, I have started to become a Haliburton guy as of late, as far as who I believe may objectively be the better point guard currently, whereas I was absolutely a Fox guy for a much longer period of time previously and actually like the Kings and Domas to boot. Fox fans, make the case for Fox over Haliburton currently, as in as far as what we have seen from both thus far THIS season, if you feel up to it.

  5. Halli’s draft stock was higher than Fox’s during the trade. As a Kings fan, it would have been just as sad to see Fox get traded. No shade on Fox, but Halli-Sabonis would have been just as deadly. One of the rare trades where both teams came benefited from the trade.

  6. That trade is hated on so much by even kings fans like myself when it happened but honestly blessed hella players careers. Pretty wild great for both franchises, obviously hali fox and Sabonis but all the complimentary players on both teams benefiting as well. This trade should be an A+ all around for everyone involved quit hating. The fans were blessed the most to see these kings and pacers teams

  7. Fox still did well in his early years but the biggest disadvantage in his development was not being able to be the true #1 and having to play alongside Buddy Hield, and then Haliburton. He couldn't truly lead the offense and had to split play with those guys. Buddy never ended up being a true #1 and Haliburton has so far but you even see this with the super teams, where being alongside other talented players of the same role can limit them more than help them. Soon as the organization gave him the keys to the car and said "go be our guy", he's done so night in and night out. His leadership has improved, his confidence has improved and his comfort within the game has greatly improved. Giving him a talented big man to 1-2 with instead of another talented guard in the back court to split play with has done wonders for him and the franchise. It reminds me of when Monta Ellis (my favorite player at the time) was moved from Golden States backcourt to allow Curry to shine. Both guys were limited trying to play on the same team as the #1 scorer. Monta was nice at the time but Golden State definitely got it right when choosing who they wanted to lead the franchise. That gave Curry the breathing room he needed to develop into the star he has been for so long now. Having that vision and focusing the team around him.

  8. In a shorter comment, The Kings decision to move Haliburton reminds of the Warriors decision to move Monta Ellis when Steph was up and coming. Ellis never went on to be anything special but those guys never would have worked out splitting the backcourt and Steph may have not developed into the star he's been for so long without being given the keys to the car.
