    One thing I’ve noticed about Flagg on MVE is that he can be passive at times. Not sure if that’s why he didn’t start, coach sending a message, but he was definitely passive in the first half. If you’ve ever seen Flagg play with his Maine United team in the EYBL, he dominates because he’s not only the best all around player on the team, but also the best at individual skills such as outside shooting and inside scoring. He routinely scores 30+ for Maine because he has to for the team to have a chance of winning. On MVE, he’s the best all around player, but not the best at individual skills. No. 30 is definitely the best outside shooter and the big fella, 25, is the best low post scorer. Flagg tends to defer to 30 and 25 on the offensive end, which can lead to overall passivity at times. MVE and Flagg in particular came out with much more intensity in the 2nd half as they probably received a severe tongue lashing at halftime. Flagg is a special talent and just needs to figure out how best to use his all around skills when on a team with such top individual talent.

    You can see it in Cooper’s demeanor, reminds me of shit I used to pull, bad attitude and disappearing like he did for a large part of this game. I was my own worst enemy and many off court problems would affect my game. Maybe I’m wrong but I suspect something in his personal life is off. Hopefully he can focus on his grades, good food, good nights rest and being an upstanding young man, I know I would have suffered a lot less self imposed nonsense if I would have hunkered down and taken that advice.
