I can understand his frustration but man wish he didn’t say that to the media

  2. Spo is a great coach because he protects his players from what they are bad at. He needs to do some self reflection

  3. IWRITE4LIFE

I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that it reads better and less critical in his native language unless someone tells me otherwise…

Not what a good teammate says, and certainly not from someone who has not established themselves as a star.

He also said he understood and fully believes in the coaching staff. The whole article is really good, someone posted the translated version earlier. He’s the one who requested to play in the G League, he didn’t get sent there, which is cool to hear. He’s obviously frustrated with the lack of minutes and doesn’t want to play the 5, but ppl need to chill thinking he wants to be traded or some shit

  6. not_so_smoothie

Not all players want to play out of their natural position.
    No surprise

  7. They should trade him tbh. He’s a long term project and there’s no time for that rn. He’s not gonna take minutes from Haywood, Jaime, or even Klove. If they play him out He might be more comfortable at the 3 or 4 but he’s a defensive liability. Playing him out of position at the 5 is just doing him a disservice. Seems like it’d be mutually beneficial to part ways

Youthful mistake letting this get out in the media but he’s right. He’s not a fit in age and the system we want to run. He’s young but he’s been a pro for 5 years now so I’m sure he’s anxious to contribute. It may not be here though…

I don’t think the quote is that accurate, he’s speaking in Serbian

  10. Deep_Worldliness3122

This quote also shows zero accountability, something he is going to need if he wants to stick in this league.

Him saying that to the media isn’t a good look

I don’t trust just reading straight translation you lose a lot of meaning and expression.

  13. I mean, the point is that they want him to get better at the stuff he’s not good at. If they just have to do the things he’s good at he won’t grow as a player.

Jovic isn’t wrong, maybe he needs to be used like a taller Tyler Herro? He gotta give it time tho aswell to atleast 1 more season ( this season) If Next season we still don’t give him alot of mins, and with Love being out doesn’t get some mins this season. Then it’s he doesn’t fit the style of play Spo wants and most likely he’s gonna get traded (best case for him maybe💔) or we’ll make a move so Jovic can get more of a point forward Role (doubtful) This needed to be said from Jovic part. Niko needs to work with Spo tho, and atleast try to do the stuff Spo wants. It’s gotta be a two sided street.

Going into this season I was so confident in Jovic, and JJJ getting alot of mins to help contribute together and sooner or later i hope i’m not wrong. I didn’t expect for JJJ to steal all of Jovic mins. And JJJ has earned all of those, cuz he’s elite and he is 3yrs older than Jovic. It doesn’t change the fact Jovic hasn’t gotten a chance at SF or PF tho or to prove himself. And that’s what I do feel like he deserves.

Jovic also needs to look at it like this we have Haywood, JJJ, Caleb, and maybe Love all do what he does better, however Jovic can get 10mins a night if one of them is injured. Or we can take some mins from each of them. Love should be alot more used during the post season the most.

All we can say to Jovic, give it 1more yr, if we still mistreatment trade him as a filler to another team.

I’ve never been more of a firm believer in Jovic, Ik what he’s capable all of us Heat fans know what he’s capable and who he is. And I never been more confident with a player (Jovic) and ik I’m as confident I was in JJJ, Herro and Bam.

Ps: for all we know, Love is out now so Jovic will play, and tbh maybe Spo will use him proper, and Jovic still has shit to work on, like being stronger playing partial defense. More than anything that’s his biggest issue.

Sounds like it’s part of exposing him to diff situations so he improves and then using him down the line more toward his skillset with this extra work under his belt
