James Harden’s LA Clipper tenure has officially begun after his first win came in dramatic fashion vs his former team, the Houston Rockets. Harden’s step back 4 point play to win the game had a sellout crowd at Crypto.Com Arena going bananas. Also, it was announced that Russell Westbrook moved to the bench earlier Friday.

I see your tone is changing with Harden …lol dont worry man this is just the start.. youll see the major difference in bball iq with him vs westbrook running the show. It's beautiful and will make every single person's game jump another level.
The only problem I had with this game is the 2nd unit☠ because I love the bench lineup of Russ, Norm, Mann, Pg, and Zu because in 8 mins of that unit… Their offensive rating was 137.5 and their defensive rating was 81.3 which is a pretty EFFECTIVE lineup if you ask me. But they went away with it by letting Mann sit even if the dude only played 21 min☠ like MANN could've started that entire 2nd quarter with that lineup I just mentioned since they took him out earlier in the 1st quarter💀JUST TO PUT IN PJ TUCKER💀💀💀
PJ tucker should never play alongside ANY of our centers whether that be Zu, Mason, and Theis… it just looks CLUNKY☠
Not a championship team . I had high hopes before the trade but I don’t see them winning it all this year no more
I think Russ can be better off the bench than this last game , and if he does flourish in that role , it can be a difference maker come playoff time .
Something positive ive taken from the last few games, kawhi an harden look like they can really play together,(not jus vecause of the shot), more time and games i think that duo will b legit. And as always the pg-russ combo is killer, if we can stagger to have each duo in at all times, i think it can b pretty good

Russ on the 2nd unit is huge because his energy and tenacity he keeps the pace fast .. any team tryna extend minutes to a starting guard may have trouble
I thought initially Harden should be the one off the bench.. But the potential of Harden PG and Kawhi is much higher.. And i hope they will continue to recognize Russ as the leader of this team..
harden is not a roller??? you want your pg to be a roller??? it is necesity for russ beacuse he cant shoot, he must do other things to stay on the floor
If you watch the replays. The ref calls for us is valid. Russ is top 3 player to hit a 3 in the final 5 sec of game. When you said Kawhi passed the ball to James with 5 sec’s left on the clock. And you said you don’t think Russ would make that. Maybe he wouldn’t have but he is top 3. That list is Vince Carter Kobe Bryant and Russell Westbrook.
transition offense have the highest efficiency in the league.
even the worst transition team have a higher transition efficiency than any type of half court offense.
attacking in transition shouldn't be a feel like it thing but instead it should be emphasized.
Still think if you gonna bench Russ. It should have been to add a big at the 4. And Put P & Y back at the 2 and 3.
Just cause Russ went to the bench doesn’t mean that was the answer. Barely beat the Rockets. Might have to keep making adjustments. Pace is key! Russ triple doubles come from him grabbing rebounds pushing the ball and getting easy buckets. Beating the other team down the court. He doesn’t give the other teams a chance to set up on defense.
I kno I'm in the minority. But y no1 ever said James harden off the bench.. so he can iso.. and the starters with westbrook( who was plying well btw without james) get the needed energy … PG and kawaii don't bring energy.. they bring skill.. so does harden. They need energy to start the game
So many awful feelings. Bones and Russ gonna get no minutes and they arguably work THEE hardest from eye test. Just sucks but at least the W

I’m sorry, but I just don’t think the offense will ever look the same with Harden running point. The offense looks lethargic with him on the floor. We looked way better to start the season with Russ, and we need the Energy that Russ brings. We might win more games now, but we could have won more games without Harden on the team. Let me know when this new trio is the top scoring trio in the league, like it was before Harden.
