Bulls guard Zach LaVine drawing trade interest from surprising team

This actually doesn’t surprise me at all – Charlotte almost never has a real shot at free agents (unless they overpay), so it’d make sense they’d trade for someone with multiple years left on their deal.

Playing for Minnesota, Chicago, and Charlotte is a rough ass career but at least he got paid lol.

I always said it should be the Hornets, they’re the perfect trade partner. They want to start competing while we need to gain some assets as well as stay competitive in the short term.

They’ll also likely take Lonzo as well because LaMelo is there.

So i’m thinking send them LaVine and Lonzo and send us like Rozier, PJ Wash, and a pick.

Rozier becomes our main PG, PJ slides to the 4, and we get some assets.

At this stage, LaVine, Derozan and Vuc are more likely to get trades to teams that aren’t very attractive to free agents, because they have no other choices to make their team betters. That’s why there were also vague rumours about LaVine to Detroit or Orlando. The Hornets can’t collect young players forever and LaVine would fit pretty nicely in that squad. Hayward, Cody Martin, Nick Smith Jr and two firsts would be a pretty fair deal.

Charlotte, Detroit, Sac are probably the best spots for him. He always balls out on those courts.

  5. I’ve felt for a few years that the Hornets are the team that makes the most sense to me.

It makes some sense, they have a new owner so I am sure they will try to make some kind of big swing move in the near future. Even though they could have some cap space next year they are also not a free agent destination

I’d trade Zach, DeMar, and Vooch for LaMelo straight up.

Said this few weeks ago, I think charlotte is going all in on him.
