Imo his return game will probably depend on if we beat the Jazz tonight.
We win he holds out and play vs the spurs (more rest and easier matchup). We lose and he feels he needs to get back immediately to right there ship
fantastic, gonna need him for the b2b vs the bulls when zion is out
i dont think those games will be scheduled losses when we have cj & eventually trey back tbh
I think it would make sense to have him play on Wednesday night against the Sixers, rest him on Friday night against the Spurs, play him on the back end of the b2b on Saturday against the Bulls. I assume that Zion will rest on Saturday, so that way we won’t be as short handed for the b2b and we kind of ease CJ back in.
So there’s really three things that happened here in my professional opinion.
1. He had small pneumothorax managed conservatively, possibly with high flow oxygen.
2. He had a larger pneumothorax treated with a chest tube for 2-3 days and has been waiting for it to heal.
3. He had a pleurodesis procedure via VATS as this was a recurrent pneumothorax for him, and has been waiting for it to heal.
Probably 1, less likely 2. Though if 1 I would have cleared him to come back sooner than 3 weeks, so that’s why I’m still considering 2 or 3. But would love to have more details.
