I can understand having some inconsistent or so-so numbers as a rookie. But I’m honestly surprised just how bad his shooting has been. Something weird is going on. The guy was dubbed to be “the best shooter in the draft”

I’m always hesitant to write rookies off remembering that both Kobe and Giannis didn’t have great rookie seasons comparative to their HOF careers and MCW won rookie of the year. But Gradey will need to show some upside soon. No need to expect him to be a lights out shooter but just showing he can consistently make shots, even if it’s just averaging 5-6 points a game.
Probably needs to see a shooting coach or something, maybe change his form . I remember listening to a podcast where lonzo was talking about how his shots weren’t translating so he and his coach worked on changing his shooting form and he became a lot more consistent

i know everyone’s saying he’s a rookie and he’s young but I’m a little concerned, he should definitely look at getting a new shooting coach or even change his form.

Bufkin, Keyonte George and Cam Whitmore. This isn’t even hindsight, all of those guys I wanted over Gradey
I’m not pretending this is the end for Gradey but the ceiling isn’t that high if his draftable NBA skill is shooting and he needs to work on being an average shooter. Even Hawkins is killing it for NOP right now as a movement shooter

At least if he sucks I can say I told you so. Although I wanted Whitmore and he’s stuck in the G League as well (albeit donning much better)
