So the youtube algo recommended this video for me, which is not a surprise since I watch a lot of MTB videos and Sixers stuff. As an avid mountain biker, I think it’s super cool that Kelly seems to genuinely be into mountain biking. Couple quick things that jump out:
His not a total beginner, but from what I can tell his skill level is pretty basic. He’s riding on a mellow trail and casing (coming up short) on all his jumps. Interestingly enough, his bikes are pretty much budget models, the suspension on those bikes is very basic, not fancy Fox or Ohlins components. Uh…that’s about it, he strikes me as someone who’s just getting into the sport, though you can tell he’s been riding bikes his whole life and he feels pretty comfortable on it. Also, he comes across as a super chill, likeable dude. I’m definitely an Oubre convert now.

If I looked like that, I’d prolly just be a pussy chasing fuckboi, but Oubre seems like a very chill person

I wouldn’t be surprised if this may have been the root of injury. Maybe it crosses the line for a contract reason? I don’t blame him if he passed it off for a hit and run. I also feel with him coming back so soon, maybe he fell off his bike, hit a tree, missed a jump, etc. Honestly, I’d rather have this be his downtime than trips to Vegas, and he’s quite the likeable dude.
