  1. Before the season began, as a sports bettor, I considered which team to focus on paying attention to, the Wings or the Pistons. The Pistons are unwatchable. This is to today's Pistons fans what the Darkness of Harkness era was to the Wings.

  2. Pistons have 2 good defenders as their starting forwards but neither can score or shot outside well. The pistons make it really easy on other teams defense and until they have more guys that can space the court and score on the court they will always be in last place.

  3. Their best shooter and arguably their best player is 35 in April. Bojan is a veteran. Alec Burks, Joe Harris. Veterans don’t guarantee anything. Orlando, Oklahoma City, Memphis (when healthy)There are plenty of teams without a bunch of veterans. It’s NO excuse. The answer is Troy Weaver.

  4. Pistons are not gonna beat the upcoming Lakers. Not even worth watching that mess. I got about 135 – 96 Lakers over Pistons….

  5. I knew the moment we extended Isaiah Stewart with a year still remaining on his rookie deal that the Pistons would be doomed. I admittedly anticipated slightly cracking the 20 win mark prior to the season, but even that seems like a pipe dream at this point.

Now is Stew the source of all this team’s problems? Of course not. Is his contract an abject albatross? Not necessarily. But the signing exemplifies everything wrong with the Pistons’ front office and the organization as a whole from the top down.

Stew had already started more than 130 games in his career prior to this season and all he had proven was that he is not and never will be a starting caliber NBA player. His career numbers were beyond mediocre for a starter (and they still are). He can’t create his own shot, is undersized for his position, has no post game, cannot put the ball on the floor, and sorely lacks the athleticism to be a rim runner or a lob threat.

BUT…he “hustles”. He plays with “effort” and “energy”. He’s the “anchor” and “emotional leader” of this young team.

And that, of course, was more than enough to sell this front office.

By paying Stew and effectively cementing him as your starting PF of the future, it indicates that the Pistons are more concerned with assembling a team full of guys who fit this goofy culture that they’ve conjured in their twisted minds rather than going out and trying to acquire people that are actually good at basketball. They couldn’t care less about surrounding Cade and Ivey with the proper pieces to help spur their development. The most important thing is keeping the “emotional leader” of the worst team in basketball over the past 4 years on this roster and ensuring him a starting spot.

Entire organization is a dumpster fire.

  6. The Pistons are not DEVOID of LEADERSHIP.

It is something else they are devoid of, finally. And it's a good thing.
The YOUNG PISTONS are finally devoid of EGOS.
    A NECESSARY STEP.

I RECALL THAT CHUCK DALY HAD TO "ALLOW" JOE DUMARS TO FOUL OUT OF A GAME IN THE 1ST QUARTER.

Prior to that moment, Joe D. was not receptive to the coaching staffs advice regarding defense.

Chuck Daly to the press: "He told me he was good to go defensively, so I let him play his defense."
    (words to that effect)

Afterwards, Joe D. was more of a COACHES PLAYER. A LOT MORE. 😂😅😂❤

" Punches and kicks are tools to kill the ego." – Bruce Lee

  7. Regarding Tyrese Halliburton:

Troy Weaver made a good decision not drafting Halliburton.
There was as much chance Halliburton would STAY with the Pistons as there was that Halliburton would STAY with SAC.

Halliburton is as OPPORTUNISTIC as KEVIN DURANT.

OR LU BU of "THRICE A BASTARD" INFAMY.

  8. @3:30 – Halluburton would have been a poor choice.
Halliburton parlayed his numbers into STATUS.
This put the KINGS in a position wherein they NEEDED Halliburton's replacement to be a STAR/LEADER, which gave Sabonis extraordinary negotiating power.
SAC NEEDED Sabonis to have numbers justifying his acquisition.

NOW THEIR HANDS ARE KINDA TIED.

  9. What we've seen with the Pistons is a collection of parts.
    Very good parts.
The Pistons are like SEAN from ALABAMA in TOKYO DRIFT after bring HUMILIATED by DK.

They have a lot of great parts.

The PARTS are top shelf, but still need to be TUNED to run together.

And there are a LOT OF PARTS TO MIX AND MATCH, many of which have yet to even be INSTALLED.

As mentioned by the panel, these guys haven't really played together yet, and it's NOBODY'S "FAULT".

  10. @7:00 – CLARITY!!
WHEN WERE ANY OF THESE TALENTED PLAYERS WITH WINNERS?

They know how to play. They're learning what each other can do. DISCOVERING.

In the next few games, I expect to see long, LaMelo Ball, Kevin Love type passes.

I hope Coach Mont can bear with the Turnovers.

Guys will become better at recognizing when a teammate is about to get a chasedown block, and then connecting with a CHERRY PICKER (ALA OBI TOPPIN).

But when did Cade play with a CHERRYPICKING SPECIALIST like OBI TOPPIN?

THE PASSER/RECEIVER COMBOS ON THIS TEAM ARE, LIKE, EXPONENTIAL.
