If you think it’s not fair that he’s being allowed to play and should be suspended indefinitely, feel free to have that opinion, but he is playing and there’s nothing any fan can do to change that. This report makes it sound like there’s no clear cut version of events coming, which means this won’t end.
Call it an overreaction, but if all we’re left with is rampant speculation, this team (in the eyes of many if not most going forward) will be best known as the one with a predator on it, regardless of success or failure on the court. This sucks for everyone — the girl at the center of this story, her family and friends, Josh if he’s innocent, his teammates for having everything they accomplish colored by it, and for us as fans.
To go from carefully drafting high caliber players as well as people and feeling confident that we were rooting for a bunch of great young dudes to *this* so quickly…shit sucks.

If I was a parent of that girl, I would absolutely want this situation to blow over asap given that my daughter’s life has been doxed to all hell and everything there is to know about her is publicized bc of creepy people on the internet. Them doing what they think is best for their daughter is completely independent of how they feel about Giddey

Remove the legal angle from it, whether the parents press charges or there’s some legality where she lied and he’s exonerated from her lying.
If Josh Giddey, at the age of 20, slept with a 15-16 year old sophomore student, he will not be a member of the Thunder in the near future. Take every other Andrew Bogut heresay out of it, he’s not connected. If Giddey knowingly or unknowingly slept with a sophomore in high school, that’s it for him.
Why? Because it won’t ever, ever, go away. The boos, the questions, the ridicule of the franchise…won’t ever, ever go away, as long as he is a member of the Thunder.
The best Giddey defense was “it’s not the same girl!” No other defense will work image wise. Legally, maybe, not image wise. Family is behaving like it is.
