  1. Ngl, Hawk coming on and impacting the team this fast… man I didn’t expect that to happen. It took advantage of jose/cj getting nicked up early and showed out. And on top of that we didn’t have to rush them back either.

Can’t wait to see Hawk grow over the years 🙂

Hawk – drafted 14, 3 on the rookie ladder

    Trey – drafted 17 2021, #6 on a Sporting News redraft

    Herb – drafted 35 2021, #10 on a Sporting News redraft

I believe Dyson is on this list long term, not to mention coup in depth pieces like Jose and Naji. Our talent evaluation is on point and it will pay off before this is over.

not in a million years did i expect hawk to have THIS much impact. really hope he continues to keep a good spot on the rotation once CJ and trey are both back

The demands for the Pels to surrender assets in order to acquire Buddy Hield (and his astounding salary) seem to have quieted down now that Hawkins has shown he can play.

The article says Hawkins needs to improve his defense, but he actually has more Defensive Win Shares so far this season than Offensive Win Shares. I’ve been very pleasantly surprised by his all-around game. Hawkins is smart, plays hard, and has a nose for the ball. Great pick.

  5. People shit on our FO, and sometimes correctly, but god damn if they haven’t NAILED these last few drafts. Hawkins, Daniels, Jones, Murphy. These are legit studs and would be starters or rotation pieces on any team. We’re not a good Free Agent destination so we have to build through the draft and our FO has been doing that

Prospects are probably praying to get drafted by us because they know they’ll have significant minutes almost guaranteed due to injury

Good on the front office for continuing to look at guys who spent multiple years in college. So many guys aren’t ready at 19, and getting that 2nd year can really speed up development in the long run.
