Naz and Walker have both been solid on D as well. When they play together, they can shut anyone down. McDaniels coming back only helps and his offensive game is starting to grow.
I just think the game plannable argument is weak. It is a relict of Rudys Utah days. The Wolves are completely different and everyone is locking in defensively, not only Rudy alone. And they have ANT and KAT as offensive firepower. If you double one, the other kills you. Try gameplanning that.
Half court defense is the best in the league by a large margin. This will really show in the playoffs. The way they use gobert by putting him on the worst shooter and letting him roam guarding the rim is brilliant.
Anyone questioning Kats defense this year is a clown. This coming from the biggest wolves fan and Kat hater on earth. He has been unbelievable on D this year. Way above league average.
I think with Kat with rudy, now rudy is able to leave the paint to contest jumpers because he has capable defenders behind him to protect the paint in Kat, Naz, Kyle Anderson. Nas and Kat have been doing really well on the defensive end this year covering the 4 spots. and then you have Jaden and Naw always on the court, and then Ant when he is locked in, and savvy smart defender in Conley. The only way a team is gonna bury this team is insane 3 point shooting numbers on a given night. Jaden McDaniels i think could also score 20-25 points a night if he was on a bad team.
Really its dependant on Kat being consistent offensively when ant has a bad game, and shake milton on the bench to find his role and groove as it hasnt looked good all year. If Kat is on and locked in, this team is super dangerous!
If they can’t adapt to playoff basketball and schemes, that begs the question.. Why don’t teams try those strategies in the regular season 😂😂. Every team that has gone small against the Wolves have been mauled.

Defense travels. Defense is more game to game than offense. Defense translates in playoffs. Playoffs turn into half court defense possessions.
