Yeah man…Troy gotta go. The whole FO gotta start over cuz they have ALL had a hand in making this mess. I don't want the people responsible for putting this roster together in charge or trying to save themselves because it does feel like the shift will be from "restore/rebuild" to IMMEDIATELY trying to get into the play-in. This smells like the perfect environment for a panic trade. The team still in 1st gear and the expectation with the same FO is to shift to like 4th or 5th gear straight outta 1st…I'm worried in that scenario

FWIW, Cade, Jaden and Ausur are a ( slightly ) plus rated combo. Biggest issue are those late collapses.
I don’t think Houston or any bottom feeder are in position to make Championship moves yet, So you bashing Houston for growth? Should they just remain like the Pistons? Houston still rebuilding and developing their young players without totally destroying their young players spirit through losing for far too long.

You can get Jerami for Bojan, 2 2nds a 2028 first and filler, you can probably swap Joe Harris for Davis Bertans, and you can trade Killian for Malachi Branam

Many blessings to you and your family. Now that being said how are you guys justifying losing 14 staight. Monty explicitly benching Ivey now only to find out that was a horrid idea. Troy Weaver talking about defense and not going out to add at least one defensive wing to help with that cause. Depending on a rookie to carry the load are you serious. Is that what you are pushing to the fans? Pick between Ausar, Cam, and Bey what is this nonsense. Why couldn't Detroit have more than one sf on the roster. Bey could have been moved to the bench where Detroit is struggling the most. So basically you guys are saying Troy and Monty lied to the fans they said when they wanted to play meaningful basketball through the whole year. Is this meaningful basketball right now? They either lied and expected this or they are incompetent at their job. Which is it?
You sat here and talked down on houston when theyre winning games, and their young players are progressing more than the pistons as well. Anything to defend the front office and keep relationships huh? embarrasing
Troy Weaver's roster you don't have any talent there are no pieces fire him and make a change put somebody in that know what they're doing are you guys serious it's not about working hard it's about being talented enough to play in the NBA turnovers and files are mean you don't have the necessary talent to execute in the NBA that's what it says
What's exasperating is 1) how we're losing and 2) perception of no team progress. I think Pistons fans could stomach a 2 and 15 record if they saw signs of progress and improvement. These losses are BAAD! Really BAAD! Nauseating Themes are:1) Teams are so confident against us; 2) we make mediocre or bad players into megastars for a game; 3) Bad shooting teams make 3 after 3 against us; 4) opponents' stars getting ejected against us; and 5) timely turnovers. The Pistons are like a baseball team with 15 good 2nd basemen. They're individually good, but a team with that many 2nd basemen can't win. We lack shooting. We desperately need a mean stretch 4 that can play, at least, a little defense. Losing is not as bad when there is some perceptible progress!
So whats going to be the NARRATIVE when we lost 20 in a row? And it could happen.

Look it ain't rocket science, you can't put 4 or 5 guys under 23 on the court at the same time and not expect shit show unless one of them is on the level of kobe or jordan. And cade aint capable of carrying this team at this time. Seems like he has a lot of development to do himself. The best quick fix I can thinks of just bring grant back. He already has chemistry with cade and can be cades true go to guy.
Rod Beard is always awesome, but he's wrong about Bey and Wiseman. It's not as simple as "oh it's no big deal at least we don't have to pay Bey". Getting Bey cost us Kennard, Brown, and three second round picks. That was probably the only real assets this team had to start the rebuild. He threw them away in the end for a flyer of a player who couldn't do simple center stuff on a team desperate for a center. You don't trade a rotational NBA player for a player who is a likely bust, especially when you're starved for assets. It's like a poor person buying lottery tickets instead of dinner
ESPECIALLY when you already have Duren and Bagley. Like what are you doing, this team needed a power forward and shooters, not a center

If this team doesnt make some moves that benefit their franchise player, they might as well trade him now, because they will ruin him.. At least they arent running killian out there in the starting lineup any longer. The Cade Ivey combo can actually work.. there are 4 players on this team that they need to build around. Cade, Ivey, Duren, and Ausar. Everyone else needs to be used to get players that actually fit.
What a homer podcast. Please take a look at the 2020 draft and tell me this team has any clue about basketball. They have almost no draft capital and are the worst team in the league. Look aid is super fitting
You guys are talking about Weaver needing to have a good offseason less than 25% of the way through this season.. That is not good. After all his talk about the restoration, he shouldnt be given any leeway at this point. He needs to do something now, or Gores needs to clean house. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Rebuild? I thought Gores and Monty said on multiple occasions that it was a Restore. Guess my ears were "receiving" me. If I didn't hear the word Restore then my listeners, intentional or not, really were deceived.
This team and how they are playing reminds me of when coaches change a practice to a game of football or something just fun because this team does not seem like they are having fun. This is a long season and they are in a hard stretch that they can only play through it and the only way to do that is to stay connected with their love for the game.
