[KoC] “If I were the Warriors, I’d call the Raptors about Pascal Siakam or OG Anunoby…No matter the target, trading Paul’s expiring salary and any of the young guys should absolutely be on the table. But so should moving on from Thompson, no matter how much it’d hurt.”

FWIW the Raptors would probably want CP3 more than Klay as the “filler” due to the former raising the floor and being something of a culture resetter but Klay makes it much easier to clear the books before extensions to Kuminga, Moody and Scottie would kick in since you’d have to include at least Boucher or OPJ to make the money work in a Siakam trade
Either way, the main return in a Siakam to the Warriors move is their young guys, 2 at minimum of Kuminga, Moody and Podz. Arguably all 3 given the Warriors draft capital is in hell for the foreseeable future
Big moose’s moody fan
I Want Tyler Herro
Would you guys rather have Chris Paul or Wiggins? I feel like GSW would rather give up Wiggins than Chris Paul esp since they play Wiggins as a forward.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, the warriors are probably the best team that we could trade pascal too and he would agree to sign an extension for them right away. No other trade partner makes sense
CP3 + Moody + Kuminga + Warriors unprotected 1st in 2026 for Siakam and OPJ works as the main framework of a deal
They just lost GP II so they’re probably going to be looking aggressively to add more depth
Unpopular opinion but I’m doing OG/Porter/Precious for Wiggins/Kuminga/Podz and moving Wiggins to a 3rd team like Portland for a guy like Simons as Portland has a logjam of quality guards but no starter quality wing. Also doubt Simons wants to be a sixth man to Scoot when he’s also young and would want to be a permanent starter. There are other teams he could be flipped to including Ind, ATL, Det etc.
Simons/Kuminga/Podz on the roster is better than paying OG 35-40 million annually just to retain him while we remain a lottery team. All those guys would fit next to Scottie as well.
As soon as we pay OG 35+ million any trades we make to move off him in the future would require us to take on bad salary because no team is going to trade 3-4 rotation players to match OG’s contract. Dude is not an all star player. It’s the same problem Portland is gonna have moving Grant on his contract after extending him to a large contract.
There is no way Masai trades for CP3 at $60 MM for 2 yrs.
I think Golden State is a natural trade partner especially since young guys with upside will probably appeal more to Masai than just picks.
I would love future picks from golden state.
Would love to see a trade around a pascal + Kyle Lowry lite deal. 😏
