The article is from May about gambling legalization in Texas. Adelson already seem to control the state so Mavs seems like a big push towards that. The son of Miriam Adelson also runs basketball team in Israel so he might be running the Mavs by next year.

ive seen other comments making the point that the native american casinos in neighboring states are the main reason why certain states dont have legal gambling yet. idk if they have the money to compete with adelson’s influence, but it’s probably their biggest source of income whereas adelson has a lot of investments.
