I was actually really surprised he didn't make the final roster. He ran with patience the whole time.
Kelly has shown some flashes, but it's all moot if the play calling continues to be flawed! The present play caller doesn't seem to trust the running backs to move the ball despite their success. In fact, the play caller doesn't help the quarterback with his offensive strategy. The mobile quarterbacks drop back and are expected to escape the rush on their own or run on planned scrabbles instead of rolling them out with an option to run or pass. I fully expect the play caller will now do exactly what Flacco is NOT good at by rolling him out because he's a traditional drop back QB.
