Do you guys ever look back at 2010 finals?

Do you guys ever think about the 2010 NBA finals? Yeah we lost in 2022 but against the team we lost and the way we lost it was sort of coming. Especially considering how much experience the Warriors had.

Whereas the 2010 NBA finals really should have been ours. I always felt like Perkins injury held us back from a ring (even though I hate Perkins since he’s been on ESPN just like many of us, his rebounding was def missing in game 7). We lost cuz of rebounding and by 4 pts, if we had him then I think we win game 7 in LA.

Also, Ray Allen played super inconsistent and that doesn’t get talked about enough.
– Game 1: 27 minutes 3/8FG 12/0/0
– Game 2: 43 minutes 11/20FG 32/3/2
– Game 3: 42 minutes 0/13FG 2/4/2
– Game 4: 41 minutes 4/11FG 12pts/5/1/1
– Game 5: 40 minutes 5/10FG 12/3/2
– Game 6: 36 minutes 7/14FG 19/2/3
– Game 7: 45 minutes 3/14FG 13/2/2/3stl

How does he go from breaking an NBA finals record in game 2 then doesn’t even make a FG game 3?! Damn near went scoreless. He absolutely struggled game 1, 4 and 7 as well. Game 1 Doc had to take him out cuz he was struggling

Game 2, 5 and 6 were his good games. Where we won game 2 and 5. We lost game 3 by 7. If he plays even half as good as he is then we possibly win that game. We literally won game 2 cuz of him and lost game 3 cuz of him.

I also think Rondo would have been the FMVP.

No but I think about Rondo every single day.

I think about it way too often. Artest pulling that 3ptr out of his ass. Gasol getting that rebound. Rondo stealing the ball from Kobe but bouncing it off the line. That team should have had at least two championships. If KG hadn’t gotten hurt they might have had three.

I always felt that Perkins was injured intentionally, but I’m also super biased

nope we lost. i even forgot we choked an opportunity to go up 3-1 on the warriors and instead lost 3 in a row :..)

We had perk in game 7 we woulda won by at least 10

If Ainge wasn’t a cheap ass and they resigned Posey, Perk’s injury wouldn’t have mattered as much. There were times where Rondo had no business being out there with his phobia of shooting and Kobe playing D against him like he was Ben Simmons before Ben Simmons. Kobe got to relax on D and play free safety.

I felt like we got screwed by the refs, they allowed a physical game for 3 1/2 quarters then suddenly decided to call the Celtics for a bunch of ticky tacky fouls down the stretch.
I don’t subscribe to if we had Perkins we would have won that game though. Rasheed Wallace played more mins with Perkins out and I thought he gave us more production than we could’ve expected from Perk.

Damn I think I’m going to start drinking again

  8. Why would you ask such a painful question? Watching that 4th quarter slip away and slumping into the chair I was watching it in will forever be etched into my brain. So many what-ifs, Rasheed Wallace definitely didn’t produce enough, but he was at the end of his career as well.

    It a painful, frustrating outcome

This series was some of the craziest refball ever lol

For some reason KG’s knee injury from ‘09 haunts me and bothers me a lot more than this game 7. Even though I remember being in 8th grade and running to my room and crying when we lost lol

  11. At least once a week. It’s the biggest sports pain of my lifetime. It used to be a close 2nd to undefeated Pats losing to Giants but we won so much after that it’s gone away.

Ray was aging and playing D on Kobe. It came down to Perk’s injury and the Lakers having a miracle game 7.

Game 7 I thought we had in the bag watching it live

We took a 13 point lead into the 3rd or 4th but we were out rebounded really bad

Oh and pau gasol travelled on a crucial play with like 2 minutes to go. He went up and came down with his shot near the rim

2022 is worse. That Warriors team was ass. No matter how people want to prop up Curry that was not a good team and we would have wiped the floor with them had Tatum even been average.

    Such a winnable series.

I refuse to watch that game eve again even tho it was one of the best I’ve ever seen. The pain I felt when artest hit that three hurts everyday.

That 4th Q from the refs was Lakers Kings level bullshit
