He’s had MVP and FMVP, now he’s gunning for COTY

  2. playcall was actually “hey Jokic take it easy on the Spurs 2nd/3rd stringers; game’s almost over”

if anyone has played basketball on any level, you’d know this is the most common inbounds play ever. He did waive off the other play but he didn’t draw this one up in real time.

Agree with another commenter this is a basic play. He didn’t invent it in real time. Jokic is incredible we don’t need to make stuff up. Also love how this guy’s face covers a quarter of the court. Truly great work being done by my fellow humans

I think there’s much better instances of him calling plays.

When they’re up 20 and playing against the Spurs’ 3rd stringers because Malone doesn’t trust his 3rd stringers to not screw up, this was more like a 4Q practice exercise.

Though Nuggets do have to get better at game planning last minute shots, so it’s useful practice – Magic and Pelicans games were both lost in the clutch

Man I really thought Jokic invented a play out of his ass and was able to convey it to his entire team in a matter of seconds, thank god there’s kind redditors out there that pointed out this wasn’t the case.

Was he even waving off a play call or was he waving off a substitution?

We gotta come up with a catchy name like LeCoach for him

We ran this as kids growing up playing on school teams. We had this play which we called “1”, or “2” where MPJ would’ve faked right then head to the opposite corner while the ball was swung around for the corner shot.

I love when people catch things like this. Jokic is on another level.

There was one where someone pointed out Alex Caruso doing this too.

Did any reporters ask him about this in post game?

    and that’s what I call… a very solid play.

Everybody saying this play is so basic but if it was then why didn’t the other team stop it???

“Nikola, we’re up 15+ we good!”
    “Nah coach stand by”
