I think Chet made this a lot closer than I expected and they might leap over us in the future but I got the wolves rn. We got a little more seasoning. When Ant is off, KAT can carry the offense and vice versa.
Thunders costars aren’t all nba level yet but they definitely got the potential. Thunder need a couple painful losses in the playoffs to get the young guys to develop for real. We already took our Ls and are coming in strong this year.
The Thunder is almost impossible to game plan right now in large part because both Chet & Shai draw in so much attention. They make the space and rotation a headache for the defense with having some of the best shooters outside of Giddey around them. Add onto the fact that Dort & Wallace on the perimeter defense is a PROBLEM. And they have one of the deepest benches in the league. There's a reason why they're currently both top 10 in both offense & defense.

Isaiah Joe is a top 3-5 shooter in the league rn, shooting 50% on 5 attempts a game.
Chets game is not back them down in the post. Chet would COOK Gobert and KAT on the perimeter. They would push Chet around in the post but it goes both ways, they cannot guard the perimeter for their life.
I don’t think this guy has ever seen Chet play this year.

Jaden McDaniels is definitely not better than Jdub he’s only a little better than Jdub on defense but Jdub is way better on offense did y’all not see him playing around with the Warriors and killing them in the 4th McDaniels is not doing that mf averages less than 10 points 😂 And Shai is better that ant if you don’t think that atp you just don’t know basketball or haven’t watched OKC cuz how you gonna say Ants defense makes him better when Shai is just as good on that end his and all nba defender rn this season and last szn was the only guard to average more than 1 steal and 1 block and Shai is a more versatile scorer with a deeper bag of Ants not hitting shots he’s not being good effective on offense but Shai can’t always get to the rim or the line if his shots not falling but it usually is he’s one of the most elite midrange shooter in the league he’s unguardable if you think about all the greats they all had and elite midrange game mj,Kobe,KD etc

OKC is for real but at the end of the day their lack of exp will be their undoing in the POs. It does not matter how talented a team is, exp wins. I have them most likely losing in 2nd round but WCFs is a possability, it depends on who they play.
TWolves… they have a contending roster type if it was 2008.
I dont trust their FO or coaching staff. I think theyve taken advantage of their schedule and its a stuffed record so far.

The issue with the trade aside from giving up a near clone of Rudy, a bunch of valuable players and picks, is that Rudy is unplayable in the POs. Swit hing teams does not change this.
The construction of the team, which i said would be PO bound for a few years with all of those being the 6, 7, 8 seed, except one where they might slide up to 4th or 5th. Is a solid regular season team but it cant be dominant because its constructed in the year 2008.
If youre giving up all that talent, the player needed to be a leader. This team, has no leader, no floor general.

As for some of the specific match ups mentioned.
Rudy is unplayable in the POs. Playing him against OKC in a 7 game series would be extremely stupid. So dudes right, KAT would be Chets defender. But Chet is far too athletic and mobile and would constantly being getting seperation. KATs nonexistent physicality does not even come into play. Chets and OKC are not worried about big man post production, these guys as a team are shooting 50 40 90.
Joe is the best 3 shooter in the NBA right now. This guy will come in for 18 minutes and go 6 for 8, 5 for 7, 7 for 7 from 3.
JDub is for real, definitely, no question, way better than McDaniels. IMO, JDub looks identical to a young Rudy Gay.
The math is not good for the TWolves on this one and thats why you dont construct a team based on your 2008 schematics, in 2023.
