Man watching the national media discuss the reasonings for the wolves ascent this season is so funny to me. You can tell very few of them watched the wolves play last season and even much of this season.
The conversation always goes, “They look great right now, but I have serous concerns for them in a playoff setting against perimeter shooters. Gobert and Towns will struggle to guard.”
It’s like they’ve missed half of what’s made Gobert a contender for DPOY and KATs improved DRTG. They’re both out there closing out and contesting shots on the regular.

I actually don’t vibe with the commentators on this channel other than Zach Harper. Whenever these people talk about the timberwolves all they do is push out skepticism and incongruent thoughts akin to someone who has never watched the team at all. “Let’s see how they handle with Jaden McDaniels being out…” Bitch, he’s been out this whole time and the Wolves are still winning. Smh
Edit: relistening to this segment. These people talking have their team. Seems like they’re scrapping the barrel to positively highlight what the Wolves have been doing. Instead, yeah Wolves are good…but their salary cap…just stop. Makes me realize there are some idiots at the mic for even respectable organization like the Athletic. THE Athletic need to find better hosts that actually like learning about every team in the NBA. Not the garbage these people are peddling.
