  1. BelonyInMyLeftPocket

The reason this team doesn’t play to its defensive potential is obvious – Jacque Vaughn.

Why over help on every single action? No wonder teams get open 3s on us constantly.

  2. madman75x

Why no time out? Why do we keep taking 3s when down by only 1? Mind boggling

  3. ![gif](giphy|wODxPdYYSq31C|downsized)

I love JV but that was the worst coaching I’ve ever seen in my entire life

  4. sabascastellon

Bye Spence. 3 on 1 you don’t drive the ball.

  5. Acrobatic-Dog7044

Terrible loss we need every win we can get sigh on to the next one.

  6. Losing to Lonzo Ball less Hornets squad is a bad look smh

    Edit : Melo Ball

  7. KingofthisShit

Finally get a stop just to choke on the last possession

  8. _Strategos_

Jacque Vaughn guards his razor better than the oppo team.

  9. I honestly want JV gone. He makes really questionable decisions

  10. Subredditcensorship

This has to be a wake up call. out defense sucks because our coaching staff are playing an aggressive drop. We’ve sucked all year on defense. Rebounding is not the most important part of defense it’s not giving up good 3s and easy shots at the rim.

Jaque Vaughn you’re not a good coach if you can’t adjust at all. Its embarrassing

  11. TheMoorNextDoor

Give Thomas the keys to the Kingdom.

He is our star, Bridges.. is 2nd and it’s clearer to me more than ever.

The NBA about to market Thomas as a star, sports media about to market Thomas as a star, time we market him as a star as well.

Off of an injury and shoots 50% giving us a team high of 26 points off of 25 minutes!

Not to mention he gave us a block as well..

What more is there to say?

  12. Our first truly disappointing and disgusting loss of the season

  13. NotBrandonNelsonV2

We really just loss to the Lamelo less Hornets…

  14. hushed-shush

Pathetic. Embarrassing and a bad play call from JV.

  15. sabascastellon

Honestly it was a horrible mistake not to hire Udoka.

  16. There’s just no reason why a lineup with Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, DFS, and Claxton should be struggling that much on defense, especially against a terrible offense missing its best player.

There is something seriously wrong with this team’s defensive identity. Our personnel is basically on par with a team like Orlando, but they blow us out of the water as far as defensive efficiency goes.

  17. Key-Independence-413

FIRE VAUGHN…. Gave up 130 to the charlotte hornets and our LEADING SCORER for the entire game wasn’t even in for the last 4 minutes. WTF??

  18. ughwhateverman

That was a terrible defensive effort by every measure. The coaches should’ve done more (go to switching when they didn’t have Mark Williams, play zone earlier, trap Terry Rozier for 1 possession as a surprise, change the game plan a bit).

JV was the “defensive coordinator” under Nash. This defense falls on him. I’m tired of the Budenholzer adherence to math. Show teams different looks. Adjust defensively

Ultimately the players just didn’t care and deserved this loss.

Lastly, stop playing around and start Cam. Bench CJ or DFS. It’s ridiculous at this point

Edit: last thing. That domestic abuser should not be playing. Am I salty? Yes. Would I believe that either way? Also yes

  19. losing to miles bridges makes every facet of my soul hurt

  20. New_Weather_7611

This is what happens when you play drop all fucking game and don’t change it up even when they are hitting their shots. All fucking game they played drop and the Hornets players got into a rhythm and that continued throughout the game. Jacque Vaughn is an atrocious coach and I’ll keep harping on this no matter how ready he has this team.

  21. dokidokimonica

Baffling loss. Once again horrible coaching by JV.

Why is our most clutch player, and highest scoring during the game, out???

Down 1 and Spencer Dinshiddie couldnt drive the lane with plenty of time left?? Instead he passes which led to a questionable 3……

Guess who would have drove the ball, someone who could finish and is amazing at getting contact….

I cant wait till JV and Dinshiddie is gone.

  22. JV choked this game.

    1. No more drop coverage, its dumb on this roster. We have the ideal personnel for switching.
    2. Cam Thomas needs to close out the game.
    3. Whenever Cam is not in, thats when you play Lonnie Walker. They need to alternate them, playing them together does not benefit the team.
    4. Rozier was stupid hot, how about throwing him some different looks.
    5. You call a TO off that rebound down 1. I do not agree with this new school transition thing. Give your team the best chance to win. If you call that TO immediately you get nearly 7s to advance the ball and get a shot at the basket. Only down 1, why a transition 3?

Overall, Clifford should buy a lotto ticket, he will never get that lucky again. 60% from 3, 100% from ft line.

  23. Confused at the confusion from y’all. A wide open 3 vs a contested 2? Y’all think the refs are gonna make a 50/50 call if he would’ve drove it? Plus it is Cam Johnson, who is a 3 point specialist. Post game dread is something else man.

Shouldn’t have been in that position anyway. Poor game against a poor team. Hate to see it

  24. gleeson630

It sucks losing every game by 4 or less. Theres a million different things to look back on in a 1 point loss. Sucks being a fan of a team going nowhere special bc they lose the majority of their close games. It’s like being pretty good but getting none of the credit. Pull one out already…we fight back every time and never get the right ending.

The defense isn’t working at this point. I don’t want to mess up the rebounding but the sample size is large enough. Can’t be scoring like this and giving up 130 points. If one player is hot it doesn’t mean you gotta give this up consistently.

  25. BushwickNormie

why the FUUUUCK dont u have cam on the floor with 2 minutes left

  26. Cam T just said in his post game interview “Terry Rozier was just making tough shots. Sometimes you just gotta live with it. There’s no scheme for that.”
