Cleveland Cavaliers Head Coach J.B. Bickerstaff spoke with the media following a 103-95 loss against the Portland Trail Blazers at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on November 30, 2023.
Funny how wins blinded majority of folks from how bad JB is. Great offensive performances from certain players cover up the inadequacies for some but not for me. You’re the coach, simply stop your players from turning the game into an iso game, otherwise you serve no purpose
I really dont blame him anymore the guys are not playing with any effort ridiculous turnovers, he's trying to tell them the same things and they are just not responding. The guys have to play with more effort not just when your down 15
JB is wasting Mobley’s potential. Why aren’t the bigs shooting in the 4th when they’re playing well and the guards are struggling? Why isn’t porter jr getting minutes? JB has no clue
To JBs credit, he has developed an offensive system that can work. Unfortunately, his two starting guards (Mitchell in particular) do not trust his system. They both revert back to bad habits and hero ball. There seems to be a tug of war, Mitchell wants to be a solo star, JB wants to coach a team while only actually playing half of the team available. Who do you think will win?
A real coach sits his starters if they continue disrespecting the game and plays his bench even if they lose u send a message it's early enough in the season to have done it.
JB has to go. I've been patient but not finding a minute for TT or CPJ when we were up 15 or when the game was slipping because of sloppy play and turnovers and running 8 man rotations early in the season is ridiculous. There's no accountability for DGs terrible sloppiness. No way Craig is worse than what we got from DG yesterday. Not saying he's as good as DG but a coach gotta know to try other things when one isn't working. JB is terrible he needs to go
All these so called FANS. I agree JB needs to go deeper into the bench. But booing them this early into the season? The way y’all acting is as if we’ve had everybody healthy all year and just been playing like shit the whole time. Makes me sick. Love this team. I believe in coach. And I believe in these young men. ALOT of character on this team. I’m gonna cheer for them win or lose. You fair weather fans might as well just root for our boy in LA. Join their entitled fan base.
JB needs to go after all that happened to last year, and now it is pretty evident that he's not the coach to take them to a championship level. Very inconsistent, you have enough talent on the team at your disposal, and the result is still a loss that's really mindboggling. Cavs should cut their losses and start firing the coach while the season is still early.
