They’re not wrong, Tre does have a bag. The problem is that he worked on his bag thousands of hours, and maybe 2 hours on actually finishing the play where the ball goes through the net.. An even more important skill.

I do wish there was more room for Tre Mann… he would still be the ideal 6th man as we OBVIOUSLY lack a go to scorer with his improved playmaking (albeit displayed in garbage minutes) and separation ability. If only the ball could actually go in

I’d argue Tre might even have a deeper bag than Sga. His shot creation is genuinely top of the league elite with the likes of curry. It’s just he isn’t able to finish. Though since his 30 point triple double last year, he’s been great in his limited minutes in terms of efficiency.
Now that we have such a deep talented team, he’s just not going to be able to get enough minutes to show that last year was a fluke. I fully expect him to be a Jordan Clarkson type player for a long time after he’s inevitably traded. A guaranteed bucket 6th man type of player who drops 35 points 5 times a year on a middle of the pack team that doesn’t possess a ton of depth.

Thunder just doesn’t have room for him now. Otherwise, he is such an interesting to have off bench. Watch his passing today was amazing, but just lack of defensive upside. I’d root for him if he ever gets traded.

Having the bag is overrated on a role player. A role player only needs to perfect one or two moves to score the bucket consistently, having a thousand moves but none of it translate to efficient scoring is the polar opposite of modern basketball.
