Just like how Morgan will judge this kings team after 20 games, i think we'll see the real Sasha settle in after 20 games. I mean, last season start, Monk and Lyles needed to earn coach Brown's trust and prove themselves on the court, and it took about 15-20 games for them to carve out roles. Now they are indispensable. Sasha has that talent and fire to get there too.
While i hate to sound happy about a player sitting out, Keegan sitting last night gave us the chance to see Sasha do the things coach brown wants.
I really think the bench use on both sides swung the game for the Kings. Sasha and Lyles coming in and providing quality minutes, defense, and rebounding gave Malik the opportunity to close the gap. And Kerr’s decision to bench Moody when he was killing the Kings may have given just the little push needed for the Kings to win.
I'm praying for big minutes tonight. I am very intrigued how he matches up against PG, Kawhi, Westbrook, and Harden. And the more minutes and experience he can get being around nba stars like them, the better for his growth and adaption here.
