Has GP2 taken Podz under his wing or something? Either way I love this!

His dads “My boy is a DAWG!!! he’s gonna run through brickwalls for his team” draft night interview is one of the best parent interviews I can remember. Podz’ Pops has that good energy.

… and he wasn’t blowing smoke. Brandin is a DAWG!!!

  3. i remember on draft night warriors fans and even some warriors beat writers were very surprised and or upset the warriors drafted podz over whitmore who most projected to go top 5 or at least top 10

then the summer league happened and podz struggled and whitmore shined and the criticism of the warriors missing out on whitmore grew even louder from a certain part of the warriors fan base on social media

i don’t think we’re hearing the warriors made a mistake now

podz in the last 7 games is averaging 10.0 pts 5.4 reb 2.9 ast on 44/41/75 shooting splits in 25 minutes

whitmore has played in only 4 games out of 16 games for the rockets & 29 minutes total scoring only 15 points … while averaging 3.8 pts 1.3 reb 0.3 ast on 46/20/50 shooting splits averaging 7 minutes in the games he has played in

now 5-10 years down the road whitmore may very well likely could be having the better NBA career over podz but for the next 2-3 seasons i think podz is a better fit for a team that is looking to win now over whitmore who i doubt would be playing much at all this season for the warriors let alone being anywhere near a rotational player under kerr

i mean the warriors basically have their own version of whitmore right now in kuminga as that big raw athletic wing and kuminga has 2+ more years of pro experience, 3 years if you want to count his one year in the g-league

yet kerr still doesn’t trust kuminga to give him consistent minutes right now … do you really think he’d be giving whitmore any minutes at all right now this 2023/24 NBA season … imo he’d be basically receiving the baldwin jr treatment from last season if whitmore was drafted by the warriors spending all of his rookie year in santa cruz
