BOSTON — Celtics star Jayson Tatum spoke to reporters after Boston beat the shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers 125-119 on Friday night. Tatum scored 21 points before he was ejected for arguing at the end of the third quarter.
“Again I wasn’t that fu*king mad. Like, don’t put that narrative out there. I didn’t throw nothing. I said what I said,” Tatum said postgame. “There was no magic words.”

Wasn’t expecting an interview from him after tonight 😂. But it seems like his head wasn’t in the game. The one problem with Tatum is if he doesn’t get those calls it gets in his head and he’s not the same player. It happened in the finals with Draymond and many other players who got away with hacking him and it ruined him. He has to realize he’s not always gonna get his calls even if he’s right he just gotta deal with it and not let it affect his play.

Why not hit the refs with proportionate fines? It’ll incentivize a higher standard without jeopardizing their financial situations. What are they gonna do—quit? Fine. Good luck making several hundred thousand dollars per year somewhere else.

His life is not going to be easy. But technical foul just getting cheaper. Ref also loves to use it. Clap hands, bounce the ball over the head, wave hands, hanging on the rims to land safe – get a tech. It is a tool for ref to maintain self esteem.
NBA needs referee post game interview. It's time to hold them accountable as well.
