Really bad night all around for the Rockets. Don’t know if might be the scheduling and lack of rhythm, but they’ve looked sloppy every one of these games after a really long break (and they aren’t playing again until Wednesday). Lots of defensive mistakes and frustration built up, with many techs and even Ime getting ejected. Everyone was cold shooting (except Sengun from 3 somehow, cool to see the work towards 3-level scoring even if it was in part from playing from behind). Jalen made a bunch of bad TOs and Sengun’s shot wasn’t falling, even though a lot of the time he did everything else right and got open. Sengun’s first real off night, but since he was getting into the right spots and getting space from defenders I won’t worry too much about it. Jalen’s road struggles have been discussed a lot already.

Now below .500 and still winless on the road. Spare road win anyone? … Please?

You can see the natural talent of Cam Whitmore. Give him a year in the G league to develop, maybe stick Amen there too, and then we will start cooking

Team is def a few years away but the future is bright

  3. kopite008

Jabari is being underutilized yet again he had a solid shooting and defensive game with 57% shooting and 5 stocks, yet he only takes 7 shots while being open a few times its frustrating if he got as many shots as Jalen he’d be outscoring hum massively

  4. JaTari_Wemba

I count 2 contributing rookies by the all star break. Being able to rest guys w this schedule makes a difference.

  5. WuziMuzik

Man I’m so sick of the refs it has been disgusting

  6. Well, we’re in 10th place & still in a play-in spot, so that’s something.

  7. BigD1ckProblems

Jalen green doesn’t look like he can do anything to beat his man. It appears like he has no ability to change directions off the dribble. He’s a very straight line type of player with very little misdirection and the defenses know that so he can’t leverage his half a step advantage. At this point i think its time to start giving Cam some of those mins.

  8. Horrible game. Everyone were having a bad day. Sengun.. super bad offense. But it was particularly painful to watch JG. Man has good athletics yet sucks on in-game decisions and being a team-player.

  9. BigTonyEnergy

Looked like Silas Rockets tonight. Chemistry has clearly taken a hit now that the losses are piling. So many dumb turnovers from Bari and Jalen. Fred still haven’t had a big night.

I have no problem with how many shots Alpi took this game. He just took what the defense gave. Off night for him but he has to take those shots. Played good defense too with the exception of two plays.

Playing OKC next. I’ve been looking forward to that game so I’m hoping we fix our chemistry by then.

Fuck that game, roughest watch since Orlando

Fuck the refs in the second quarter, took away all our momentum

Some of the offensive rebounds we let them get were awful, mainly the ones off free throws, and idk how you let D’Angelo Russell get that many steals against you

    On to the next one

  11. Top_Benefit_7132

I really dont think it helps JG to realize he needs to be better (multiple less than %25 FG games) when we still giving him +30 mins.

    Worst/unlucy game by Sengun

Bari not utilized enough especially when JG is this bad

  12. lachdanan13

The team karma seems a bit low, hope they build more chemistry somehow, might be the worst unorganized team play since Orlando game (both on offense and defense they stumbled). Yeah Lakers’ 2nd quarter run was kinda insane , but the Rockets should’ve answered at some point in the 2nd half, they just couldnt.

  13. NoneMoreBLK

This was a bad loss. I’m actually disappointed in the entire team. The Lakers were living their best life out there, and we didn’t really respond. 16 turnovers for the Rockets and letting LA score 58 points in the paint.

That dawg that we seemed to have when were streaking is gone. We laid down tonight.

  14. inshamblesx

O/U we end the year with 12 road wins this season

  15. Possible-Ad9546

Lakers fan here. Sengun looks great. Y’all got yourselves a hellava player!

  16. Top-Square-8912

Maybe victor oladipo can come back and help us? lol

  17. NBACrkvice

Gün would have had 40 if he could have made anything remotely contested tonight lmao 🙃.

Worst game of the season? Y tf are we getting cooked by Reaves, Reddish, Russell, and Christie?

    🚀🫣

  18. gstratton27

Jalen Green for Cade Cunningham who says no?

Real talk need Amen to come back and give us some more off the bench. Real Cam minutes hopefully coming soon.

  19. Tales_of_Endurance

Everyone was terrible in their own right. Sloppy turnovers, miscommunication on defense… Alpi shooting like shit. After that horrible 2nd quarter he was pushing to generate some offense which was positive but finishing was way off.

I am about to give up on Jalen. He has speed but doesn’t have the handles to utilise it. He has athleticism but he can’t finish through contact at the rim. He is not a good enough passer to keep the defense honest. And worst of all, he is extremely inconsistent.

He has to show something. He can’t ride on being the top lottery pick forever. NBA has become very talented and teams are quick to move on to the next big thing. He is wasting his opportunity.

  20. Suitable_Snow7761

It’s clear as day 🚀 need a little bit more offense…

  21. Octavian2120

Nothing seemed to go in for sengun but he took good shots and played decent defense so imnot too worried but his touch was so far off tonight . Overall awful game for everyone

  22. The refs definitely fucked shit up but the team made several mistakes as well. On the coaching side, I think we are playing our starters too much and we are starting to see some wear and tear. Doesn’t excuse Jalen Green’s bad play for most of the night. His passes were too lax and I was shocked they put him back out there in the fourth quarter given how poorly he has done so far. I am not asking for a permanent benching but unlike a lot of games his actions definitely hurt us this game.

  23. Lord_Shugesh

Ugliest loss since the opener and this one is worst considering the context. Dillon Brooks continues to be in early foul trouble on just low IQ decisions. The whole “yeah I know it’s my bad, I’ll clean it up” in every post-game interview is starting to sound real hollow. Although it probably just is who he is.

Jalen man. It’s not just the home/road splits that bother me. What concerns me so much is that we’re in year 3 having the exact SAME conversations about him we’ve been having from day one. “Ball handling is really bad.” “Terrible shot selection.” “Bad position on defense.” “Way too many turnovers.” Etc, etc. I just want to go a month, hell a damn week without having to bring up the same damn glaring issues with him. It’s like Groundhog Day at this point.

Lastly, people are starting to give Udoka some real flak for the lack of Cam, and honestly I agree. When the rest of roster looks like absolute shit and you desperately need a sparkplug off the bench, especially one that can pressure the rim, you have to see what you got at least. I get Udoka loves the whole “vets and defense” thing but uh, your vets and defense sucked, at some point you’re just better with him on the court. At very least it wouldn’t have looked any worse than this shit.

Alright that’s my rant. Now can we stop seeing the fucking Lakers and Nuggets for 5 seconds please?
