This was my first full season of watching the Raps as I started mid way through the 1999 season.
This clip popped up on my feed the other day because it was 23 years ago. Just wondered if anyone else can remember the drama lol.
That’s not even the funniest suspension.
He once did the same to Tyrone Hill during the shoot around because of an unpaid gambling debt.
Hill eventually paid Oak.
Oak has told this story a few times. I think one of his bill simmons appearances he went over it. Great story teller.

Oak seemed like one of those dudes you legit didn’t want to mess with, he walked the walk unlike most dudes viewed as ‘tough guys’ these days.
That said, I’m sure this would probably garner a much longer suspension in Silver’s NBA, which likely plays a factor as well.
I remember hearing about it, but I didn’t see anything about it at the time.
Oakley was a problem on and off the court lol, always ready to throw
