On top of just dropping your responses to today's three Would You Rather questions, would you accept 10 more years of the Raptors' averaging 41 wins a year if it meant Shohei Ohtani came to Toronto? Yes I'm trying to shoehorn Ohtani's name into a comment for SEO purposes, deal with it.
This is indeed the right question for this team! Most aren't asking it, so kudos! Sean & Vivek are both right that we need to change up the starting 5. Unfortunately you are both right that we'd be better off if both Dennis Schröder AND Jakob Poeltl can come off the bench, but unfortunately given our depth, that's not possible. I have to side with Sean. Start Gary Trent Jr. for his shooting. Schröder may be better attacking the paint than Fred was but in all other ways, especially shooting, he's a worse version of what we didn't like about last season. We need to see Scottie with the ball, and not have him setting screens or standing in the corner spacing the floor while our mind-level exemption signing over-dribbles. Besides Scottie is a much better distributor of the ball.
To "fix" the IST I would do the following.
Expand the group stage games form 4 to 8, so each team get's a home and road game. Have everyone play on the same days.
This will push the quarter finals to December 28, Semi-Finals to December 30, and Finals to January 1.
December 30 can be like the NBA's Lebron day (40th birthday), and Why not start every New Years with a championship game.
Dennis was day 1 bench guy.
Scottie should be the starting ball handler.
I would be OK trying lineup of PS, OG, OPjr., GTJr, SB at point
