Just so people aren’t confused. This isn’t talking about quality of defense, just that Sochan ranks #1 (amongst guards) in who he’s matching up with defensively.
Interesting that Pop is putting so much burden on such a young player learning to play PG as well. Will be interesting to see how this works out

To be clear this means that Sochan is tasked with guarding the opponents best player the most out of anyone in the league. So if he’s on the court he’s taking on the biggest challenge pretty much every time.

Ppl are misinterpreting this stat. It just means he’s being assigned with the most difficult matchups amongst “guards”.
