toJan 19th is gonna be brutal. Are Luka and the Mavericks in a race to that $80M per year contract to take a trade off the table?I thought Kyrie's contract telegraphed an agreed upon bail out. I've watch Kyrie for two plus years. He has games like Friday (and the beginning of the season). "Washed like Klay" could actually be a thing with Kyrie.
You have two $40M a year players. Is making the playoffs are too much to ask? Was acquiring Kyrie just a ticket selling/merchandise selling move??
Couple things from Group Therapy:
Matt Moore was right. OG is the dream get for this team, but unattainable. Caruso is the guy. Put a number 1 defender out there, everything else falls into place. Send OMax, Hardy, Powell for Caruso. Kyrie/Caruso/Grant/Luka/Lively starting.
Jerami Grant didn’t chase the money. Denver offered him the same amount as Detroit. He chased wanting to get up shots. He’s also actually not the top level defender Mavs need.
Hardy absolutely is an NBA player if he ever realized he needs to be THJ and not Lou Williams. If the guy just focused on launching 3’s, he can have a nice career. Problem is he thinks he’s Kobe. We are seeing why he dropped to the second round. He’s not a smart basketball player.
In no world is Lively better than Chet lol. OKC wasn’t good last year. They had losing record and finished just 2 games ahead of Mavs, and Mavs tanked final 2 games. Also, they weren’t defending each other tonight, and Chet saved the game for OKC with those 2 blocks on Lawson and back to back offensive rebound put backs. Chet is a good bit better defensively, and way better offensively. Even at his best Lively won’t be able to do the stuff Chet is already doing offensively.

Mavs are in 6th in the west…they fall and fall as the good teams come….It was nice that they at least made it a game..and yes Dallas was undermanned…but when it mattered…Dallas yet again faltered against a good team…This will be the theme of the season..WHile Livley is a very nice surprise both Hardy and Green are nowhere near where they should be….Dallas' roster still ahs to many flaws…
Please trade green or hardy or both, while theyre worth something.
