This is the stuff you like to hear from the team’s leaders. Hopefully this will translate to the court and give a boost to Grimes
I hope Brunson takes matters into his own hands. I know people are frustrated with QG, but it is all about rhythm and once he starts shooting and hitting shots the hate will subside. At the very least QG brings excellent defense to the table, unlike a guy like Evan.
Randle should be be always looking for Grimes to cut into open space when he’s drawing doubles.
Brunson should have chemistry with Grimes similar to the 2-man game he runs with IQ.
Our stars should be using their skills to uplift their struggling teammate and I’m glad that they are taking accountability for his struggles.
Grimes shouldn’t be sounding like Obi after the season he just had.
Hope Brunson follows though on that. This is anecdotal of me but of the main ball handlers, it seems like he finds him the least.
I don’t think Grimes is doing enough on offense in general. You can’t always just sit in the corner and then not be ready when it comes your way. He should be the guy Randle is looking to off the double. I really liked Grimes, and I still do but I expected him to take that next step this season, not be PJ Tucker lite
