No, you don't go all in for Malcolm Brogdon. If anyone thinks a 30-year-old is worth multi number one picks is a fool. I said the same thing with the James Harden deal I wanted the Kings deal and what did many of the sixers content creators tell me. We need to win now, we don't need Haliburton and Buddy Hield and 2 first round picks. I like Brogdon it depends on the price.

Either it's going to cost draft capital to acquire Brogdon or Portland will try to include the Jerami Grant contract in the deal so they could save money… a trade could look along the lines of this.
Portland Gets- Tobias Harris, Furkan Korkmaz, Daniel House & Jaden Springer
76ers Get- Jerami Grant & Malcolm Brogdon
All expiring contracts with the exception of Springer who is only due 2 million for this and next season. Very affordable young prospect that can give burn to see if it works out.

– New Starting SG, 1 or 2 New Starting Forwards, New Backup PG & New #3 Center that is Big & Experienced
– If Oubre or Batum resigns with Sixers in offseason then 1 of them could be 1 Starting Forward perhaps but then sixers would need 1 other New Starting Forward as well

Probably pretty farfetched but if Philly could pull off a trade for Brogdon and Jerami Grant would be a massive W. I think Grant fits wayyy better than Tobias and with Brogdon I think Philly would be the team to beat in the East

Of course I was the first one on Sixers Twitter (X) to highlight the trade for Brogdon weeks ago, and why it is the best option without messing up team chemistry.
After Jan. 1 Sixers would have to offer the expiring contract of Marcus Morris (17.1 M) + either Korkmaz (5.37 M) or House.(4.31 M) + draft capital.
In the new CBA Sixers can take back 110% of outgoing salary for teams above the 1st Apron. With Brogdon at 22.5 M it works nicely.
Although the Sixers are currently 2.5 M under the 1st Apron (172.346 M), if they exceeded 110% they would be hardcapped at the 1st Apron (similar to what happened when the Sixers signed PJ Tucker for the full MLE).
Forwards Korkmaz or House could have some value to POR, but if not, they are expiring.
Not sure if 1 first round pick is enough as MIA and a couple other teams could be competition to drive up the price. Might have to include a 2nd Rd pic or the pic swap.
BOS can't re-acquire Brogdon this season.
A main reason why Brogdon works well, is that he is under contract for the same 22.5 M for next season.
Other players mentioned are free agents and Morey wouldn't be able to talk with them before June 30 at 6 PM. That would create uncertainty of not only re-signing such player, but what to do with other players like Melton and Tobi.
We keep hearing that Sixers need another playmaker. Maxey could learn something from Brogdon. And if Maxey is injured, Brogdon could keep the team afloat.
Brogdon wouldn't be crying if his PT dropped. He'll be happy to go to a contender and face off against the Celts in the post season.
The downside is that I'm now a big fan of Springer, who just lost a chance to prove himself these past 4 games.
But Springer can guard 1-3. It won't happen, be he would be fine starting at the SF, to mostly play defense.

Honestly for a championship i would give up 2 pick & tobias for OG Anunoby & Gary Trent jr.. then trade korkmas & martin for Dorian Finney-Smith.. if necessary korkmas & a pick for DFS. "We have to prioritize OG & DFS if we want to contend for a championship."
