I am glad the hawks still have the MLE and a 21 million dollar trade exception as we are using garrison matthews as the backup PF.

I just wanted us to have a decent regular season 😭. I guess we’re back to being the play-in champions and somehow convince ourselves that we can beat the celtics in the first round.
As a neutral observer, how is it even possible that Hunter and Bey have so many more minutes than Bogdanovic. It is very unfortunate that Bogdanovic spends his best years so underrated as a backup to such a bad player as Hunter.

Y’all ever notice we lose every time trae and DJ play well together?
Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t a masterclass by DJ… and DJ was terrible when he ran the offense by himself, but that’s kinda my point. They played off each other well when they were on the court together, and DJ made up for lackluster shooting with 9 assists 0 turnovers 10 rebounds. Still lose..
This season is a disaster so far. I’m still holding out hope but it’s dwindling.
Trae really been clamping up this season, wtf has the rest of our “defensive” minded players been doing? Seriously, I have more faith in Trae’s on ball defense this season than anyone else on the roster at the moment. Can’t wait for JJ to come back so we can stop playing OO with Clint. It’s not working.

I’ve seen enough of this team now and honestly I think we need to consider trading Capela and Hunter. The team’s way too stagnant and not dynamic enough. Trading these two players might actually freshen this squad up and wake them up from their slump.
We’ve continuously played Bogi 26-28mpg and Saddiq 36mpg.
I like Bey but our roster is too lopsided to give proper minutes to Bogi, Mostly because Bey doesnt bring enough Size/defense to play them together regardless of Bey playing the 3 or the 4

The Matthews Brothers are gonna get a lot of heat for getting minutes over AJ, but the way Quin speaks positively of them, expect to see more. He sees an impact potential in practice that most of us don’t have access to. AJ hasn’t done the best, but also hasn’t had a lot of time to find a groove. We’ll see.
Does anyone else want to see Patty Mills come in for Trae as PG instead of DJ when Trae needs rest? You need a real backup PG, not just making an SG chalk up plays. Dejounte does better when he’s not constantly bringing it up.
OO is so overrated by this sub. He’s a small average at best back up center. He need a back up center with some size
Traded Kev and JC to keep Hunter and Clint. Maybe it’s hindsight but i hated the Kev trade and the JC trade felt like we were forced because the previous FO kept flirting with trading him. It’s hard to write off a year in basketball like it is in football but this really feels like a wasted year.

There’s a few guys on this team that look very uncomfortable and it’s not getting better. Clint looks unplayable in a lot of matchups. It’s crazy last year we had the center position locked up between Okongwu and CC.
Now I’m not trying to put too much on the centers. I do think our perimeter defenders let guys blow by them then the centers have to step up to help which leaves someone open. So the problems exist all around. Clint just frustrates me because this season he keeps taking these baby hooks that NEVER go in, and he hasn’t been doing much at a great level to compensate for his shortcomings.
