I don’t think Brown is a great fit for what we’re trying to do offensively here.
I think either he needs to change, the offense needs to change, or most likely some combination of the two.
135 players in the NBA this year have at least one double double.
Jaylen Brown is not one of them.
Going two straight games without a single assist is not just bad luck with teammate shooting percentages. We’re most successful when he’s being an active playmaker.
Either he isn’t being asked to within our scheme or he isn’t putting into effort crashing the offensive boards. He’s 6’6 and a pretty powerful dude, he should be getting a lot more OREBs.
It seems like we have a binary system. He’s either driving solo with the option to kick it out to the perimeter or he’s on the perimeter while we look for the best look at a 3.
Neither he nor Tatum have the number of OREBs that you’d expect from players of their experience, height, and power.
Joe says we’re trying to focus more on crashing the boards rather than just on getting back on transition defense, but I’m not seeing it.

I saw someone on here say in the past week that part of the reason JB cut his hair was because avoiding touching his hair when shooting was affecting his shooting form. I’m not sure where this info came from. Is this a real thing and if so anybody have a source?

He should just get waves. High tops are out of style and his hair is way too low for braids. Looks wack. Either that or just get temp fades till he has enough hair for protective styles
