You know how awfully coached you need to be to lose to this Portland team missing starters?

    Well not us /s

Kuminga won this one for us.

  2. vibrolator

I’ll take ugly win against quality loss anytime lol

  3. marionettas

    WE CLUTCHED OUT A GAME!!

I’ll take ugly offense and the W over blown leads losses any day of the week

  4. A Steph carry job. I’m really glad they pulled this one out.

The same frustrations continue for me though.

Steve’s rotations leaving JK out of the rotation in the first half.

Wiggins’ limited impact and the turnovers.

Just a frustrating team to watch but a needed win.

  5. MagicWade

I’m the biggest Steve Kerr supporter, but I’m going to jail him myself for international war crimes. Can this man not play more than two players under 25 at once? Why the fuck did Kuminga not play a SINGLE minute in the first half.

  6. Maleficent-Lobster93

Never forget that Steve Kerr played Anthony lamb over both moody and kuminga last season. What a waste bruh. Imagine how good those two would look if they actually got consistent minutes last season.

  7. ShonLayyEmDown

Steph came through when they needed him but still an overall ugly game. I hope this team gets it together..

Ugly but a win is a win.

Dubs have a lot of things that they need to improve on

  9. SadSatisfaction30

Needed a clutch Curry 3 to beat a lottery team with 4 players out, we’re really cooked

This W is on Steph, KUMINGA and Dray defense. Much needed win but I can’t say I’m one ounce more optimistic than yesterday.

This team, as constructed, is completely cooked. Slow, tiny, old, with only one guy able to create his own shot and multiple non shooters/scoring threats. Kerr looks out of ideas too.

Klay and Wiggs have been draining this team’s energy all season long. It’s everything with them. Their dribbling is not nba level. Missing everything. Klay will forget to box out like 10 times per game. It’s even more flagrant than it should because the lineup is often too small to rebound.

We spend so many possessions trying to get Klay open and trying to force a shot with the clock running down, a lot of times by a non Steph player because they’re denying him. Klay is too slow to get open and they can overplay him since his finishing at the basket is one of the worst in the league.

This team aversion to play P&R and go missmatch hunting has to be studied. M They’re stuck in 2015. They spam it when needing a comeback like today but it’s too late sometimes. Every team runs it to exhaustion for a reason. It works. Steph is imo the best at it. We might done it twice with Duop Reath on the court, and it worked.

Is it really that much taxing on Steph to run some more P&R? The alternative is not exactly stay resting on thw corner, but running non stop setting and getting screens.

I know everybody is mad at Kerr for the 1st half Kuminga dnp and sure, he was key to get back into the game. But I can’t blame Kerr all that much. Kuminga at his best is exactly what this team needs. But he can’t stop from getting in his own way.

It’s either a bad decision or lack of effort a lot of the times. Like today, when he keeps it simple and uses his speed and size to get to the rim, he’s great. But usually he does this slow In&out that causes more turnovers than blow bys. But his effort is even worst, it differs constantly, play to play, game to game. I’ve never seen a player have such inconsistent motor. It must be frustrating for the coaching staff.

Although to be fair I’m playing devil’s advocate. Even with all his shortcomings, there’s no reason for Kuminga to not play a single minute in a half, especially with Looney being almost unplayable at times and vs a very athletic team like Portland. Also, if bad decision and lack of effort keeps you out of the game, Wiggs and especially Klay are worst offenders than Kuminga.

  11. Unconvincing win…but a win is a win!

    Steph is HIM! 🔥

  12. pedigreedimp97

Warriors reversed the polarity by sucking in the first half instead of the second

  13. Leave JK on the bench for 31 minutes, then play him 17 minutes straight. Make it make sense..

At least Kerr played Moody almost as many minutes as Klay who was laying bricks out there.

  14. I said it last week. Draymond does a better job finding Kuminga for lobs than Chris Paul does.

  15. lawgirl22

The starters have been terrible playing together all season. This year is nothing like last year where the starters lead the league in scoring. We have to mix the youngsters in with the vets. That means Klay and Loon/Wiggs go the bench at times and Moody and Kuminga play with Steph & Dray. Last year’s starting 5 AIN’T IT!

  16. BorkLensar

Respect Kerr for what he’s done but his decisions these past two years to not play Kuminga and Moody more have been detrimental to the team. There was no excuse to take Moody out during the Kings game and there’s no excuse Kuminga doesn’t get any minutes in the first half.

  17. i feel like these young athletic hustle teams are a good matchup for tjd to get some of loons minutes.
