He’s made statements similar to that before. He was being steered in a certain direction by his brother Janis, and in general the relationship between the FO and KP was strained by how ass the team was.
We’re in a great spot these days anyway so I don’t really harbor bad feelings to KP. I’ll always credit him for getting me back into basketball, and watching him play with Melo live was fun while it lasted.

He said everything he could, to not throw his “manager” under the bus

He said that there allready was trade ready before he asked out and things went fast.
Mills just waited for KP to ask for trade and he got his wish so he isnt the bad guy 😀

When Tingus Pingus was healthy and in a zone, man he was so fucking exciting to watch. I remember the start of the 2017 season, he was looking like the home-grown superstar we had been searching for since Ewing. Everything was going great….. until we played Cleveland at MSG. The game where Bron tried to make Frank his prison bitch. We were up big, LeBron brought them back, and hit the game winner in KPs face. Seemed like everything went downhill from there.

it was a bizarre thing for an injured player on his rookie contract to do.. but its so long ago, as he says, it is what it is.

He got boo’d on draft day before he even playing a single game and now he gets to smack us as the 3rd option on the knicks’ forefront rival team. Very nice of him to take the mature route since he has every right to be bitter and contentious.

I think not bringing KP back to the Knicks this summer was the only missed opportunity in recent years. More than passing on Mitchell.

I’ll take it. It’s not a formal apology but at least he acknowledged he didn’t handle it well. Grudge dropped KP.
