Mikal and Cam are not similar at all. Mikal is an iron man that shows up every game and a world class defender. He's a 3 and D that can work on any championship team. Cam is a gunner and a great 6th man but he needs the ball too much for what he's contributing.
cam is an overrated bum he a 6’3 sg that does nothing but score and isn’t that amazing his fg is 46 and 3 34% both mediocre he not that good mikal still the best on this team by far

cam thomas really is ballin this year. but to tell me that they should've built around him and not mikal is a horrible take. like what? not sure if you're watching mikal this year but he's absolutely an all-star and an elite defender. his passing is also underrated. he kinda started slow and the team shot poorly except for cam which explains why his shots skyrocketed. those numbers are definitely gonna fall off to around 20ppg which is still pretty good. they are definitely cooking something special there in brooklyn.
He lead all of Division 1 College Basketball in scoring as a freshman so I'm not surprised he's transitioned so well into a star scorer after a few seasons.

I love Cam Thomas getting recognition but come on, him and Bridges are definitely not the same nor do they contribute to the team similarly. Both have near identical scoring averages this season but Bridges is more efficient plus Bridges is actually an elite defender unlike Cam.
if im the nets, im trading mikal bridges for picks. somebody else is going to want his upside and if the rumors surrounding OG Anunoby are any indication, three FRPs sound pretty good for mikal bridges
I love how for his defense in previous seasons, you mentioned how he had a low defensive rating, but then, to show how his defense has improved a lot…you mention a quote from him this season. No stats…
Cam Thomas is tied for the second worst DBPM on the team this season at -1.7, and he is 5th worst on the team in Def Rating. If you ignore Armoni Brooks and Harry Giles who have played a combined 48 mins for the team this year, Cam had the worst DBPM and 3rd worst Def Rtg on the team. And the two players with worse Def Rtg have much higher Off Rtg, so they are both actually a net positive Rating, whereas Cam is a net -8 in Rating.
Cam is a great scorer, absolutely. But he's 1 dimensional. He can't pass and is a black hole on offense, and he's atrocious on defense. He's better suited to be a 6th man spark plug for a competing team.
