I wonder if Tobey was off because Embiid took 29 shots. I'm ok with a Tobey trade as long as it's for someone that can replace his defense

Maxey have been taking about 25 plus per so he should be used a volume shooter being on the court. You sound like an excuse maker. Tobias has been playing like trash. You can't make any excuses about that.

I agree with the host I was expecting it to be easy since we were well rested and healthy.. wizards have a couple good young pieces, (Coulibaly is a real talent) but we should have won by 15-20..n I love Toby but it's just not working out lol..idk..
I'm also frustrated with Tobias Harris. But I'm still hesitant to trade him because 6'8 220lbs wings that can score 16-18 a game and play at least average defense don't grow on trees. If you wanna win you need big versatile wings. Tobias is a big versatile wing its just his contract is horrendous. If you trade Tobi it has to be for the right package. For the first time in years we finally have depth at the most important position in modern basketball… Trading it away could be malpractice.

Without Oubre we lost against washington. He is this guy you need the impact every game. Make cuts, hustling for second chance points and shot creating. Hope Morey can switch Harris and Korkmaz for 2 guys they fit better.

FYI: Tobi was clearly playing sick vs Celtics. But he didn't make excuses. Fans should be praising Tobi for playing sick.
So why is Nurse playing Tobias 35, even if sick? You people no nothing about basketball.
The answer is Nurse is able to evaluate the entire performance.
Tobi cannot be traded. He is loved by Nurse and Morey. He has been one of the 4 best players on about 80% of games this season.
He is an Iron Man.
If Tobi was traded for expiring contracts, that would make ZERO sense, as for sure those players would be inferior to Tobi.

The haters won't like to hear this, but Morey is hopeful to re-sign Tobi for another 3 yrs. That is how much they like him.
You people need to learn more about the CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) especially the new one.
Tobi being over paid in the old CBA was NOT any impediment to the Sixers roster.
But in the new CBA there is an effective HARD CAP, so there are consequences of overpaying players – It is the real reason for Harden being upset, but he has yet to blame Adam Silver.
Because only contending playoff teams would likely be interested in Tobi as a free agent, and since few such teams will be able to operate under the salary cap threshold, the most a team might be able to offer Tobi is the ~13 M FULL MLE, like the one offered to PJ Tucker last year. That would of course Hard Cap that team at the 1st Apron (about 180 M).
So since Morey expects to operate this July as a Cap Space team (would be the first time since the Al Horford free agency July), he should be able to re-sign Oubre (using space) and offer the ~8 M Room MLE to retain maybe Pat Bev and someone else.
Since Tobias has a 46 M cap hold, he would have to be re-signed first. Maybe he gives a discount of 45 M over 3 yrs.
The Tobi haters can go back into the woodwork.
All this hate started because he had the leverage to negotiate a near Max contract more than 4 yrs ago.
I have only 2 disagreements with Nurse's coaching, and it isn't around Tobias playing 35 mpg.
But I would not only have Springer back in the rotation, but I would have him starting in place of Batum (although Batum has been fine).
Springer is the best wing defender on the team and is athletic enough to alter shots of bigs in the paint.
By playing Spring more now, it would elevate his game for the playoffs.
Springer has the potential to be one of the 4-7 most valuable players on the team.
The other more clever reason to start Springer (although only play around 20 mpg), is to have Oubre coming off the bench and scoring less.
Oubre needs to be re-sign. If his value is that of a starter, it would be harder to afford returning him.
Same for Pat Bev, Roco and Batum (if he doesn't ask to leave in free agency).
With Springer under contract for next season, it doesn't cost more to elevate his value.
I would also play Paul Reed alongside Joel, for at least 5 mpg.
I would let him stay in the game after his first stint subbing for Embiid in the 2nd quarter.
If playing well, maybe even have him playing in parts of the last 7 minutes of games.
Instead, Nurse has been going to Morris, although Marcus has been a pleasant surprise, he doesn't have Reed's althleticism.
Its also good to increase Morris' trade value since he is likely the one to be traded in January for Malcolm Brogdon. The salaries will work along with Korkmaz or House.
Tobias Harris is an awful player. Iâm counting the days as well.
