Pretty hard to feel sorry for Zach, but we're talking about the Bulls
Cubs better get some guys in here soon the board is starting to fall. They always call about everyone yet never zero in. They let the market come to them which doesn't always work. Stroman opted out of 23mil? And Sonny Gray 25mil, E Rod 20mil are now off the board for similar cost.
Cubs could of easily got Soto Js. It was Weisneski, Wicks, Some SP likely late Top 30, and Yan Gomes. Cost wise anyway that's about what Yanks paid. I wouldn't let Wicks go, but would use Weisneski in a trade.
Jed better get his head out of his ass, St Louis & Cin Cin making moves while the cubs lay idle.

The Bulls offered LaVine a max, and he took it. I would. Zach earned getting that max, but the blame needs to be at the ownership for giving it to him.
