I hope to God I'm wrong, but I just see the Cubs making small, low risk, low impact moves again. I feel like they want to be safe, and don't have a burning desire to win. Fields might be a great guy, but I don't feel like he has a fire in him either.
Cubs needs to replace Bellinger.300 avg plus 25 HRs if they do not sign him. PCA will not match those numbers. 2nd we need a 3B man. We need bullpen.

The new stadium wouldn't work. I know the city is as corrupt as one can be but it'd take a decade of litigation at least to get rid of soldier field. I think it's a boring time of the year for chicago reporters and it's a talking point.

If and when they get a new stadium, it will be one they as a franchise controls, not the city or any city for that fact. They want the majority of revenue to go to them unlike the current situation with soldier field

Honestly give Justin one more chance with a real receiving staff. Give him Marvin Harrison Jr. and yes, absolutely, I would draft him #1 overall. He looks a generational wide receiver and pairing him with DJ Moore could finally drag this franchise from out of the stone age and into the modern passing era. If this team wants to win games they need to look at Philly and Miami and do that. Get two stud WRs (got one). Build a tough line with a good running game. And build a real Bears defense again
