It’s just hard when you go the whole quarter without touching the ball, the whole second quarter without touching the ball, and then you get one shot and you got to make it. So it’s tough going out there and just standing in the corner the whole game. Then you got to make the shot when you shoot the ball one or two times per game. It feels like if I don’t hit the shot, I’m coming out. So every shot I shoot probably weighs like 100 pounds if I don’t make it.

Coaching is also a huge part of the problem. After the first half of that bucks game, the bucks made an adjustment and proceeded to dominate the Knicks the second half. If someone like Eric Spoelstra had this same Knicks roster, they'd be potential contenders before adding that missing star.
A lack of significant player development is unfortunately a major flaw with the NY Knicks
Don’t forget also punted 2 drafts in a row while passing on all those current players. Just what I predicted Leon has us sitting in a luxury penthouse in no man’s land. Yes we can win against a lot of teams but still can’t beat the best teams. Also nearly capped with no superstars and no young prospects on rookie deals. Not looking good. This is where Thibs keeps all his teams. It was the Bulls first after D Rose and then he did the same thing to Minnesota. TWolves let him go after he traded Lavine for Jimmy Butler only to trade Jimmy for Robert Covington, Saric and a 2nd rounder. Thibs and Leon are both near sighted old men that need to retire.
i agree we need to make a move but i think that game against the bucks doesn't tell the whole story. the knicks don't match up well with the bucks and also no team in the nba can shoot 3's like the bucks did in that game consistently, including the bucks…

Completely agree with all of his takes. We have a bunch of internally overvalued role players who are inconsistent. Just when you think they finally turn the corner, they revert back to being subpar.
Personally, i would overhaul the whole squad and only keep brunson, Robinson and a couple of bench players. They need better and bigger/longer defenders and 2 way players. I would add height across all positions and try to go for a double big lineup like the timberwolves. The only player i can think of that can make that lineup work for knicks is Lauri Markkanen.

My confidence in Leon Rose is 5/10. Julius Randle shot probably the best in his career vs the Bucks. but gave less than 50% on defense. Did you see that loose ball in which Randle did not dive to get from Giannis. Giannis hustled and scored on a fast break. Randle doesn’t want to expend energy on defense. Knicks will never win with Randle.
Quintin Grimes is not playing well because he cannot dribble off after a pass and make his shot. Every time he gets a pass he dribbles a few times and picks up his dribble. He is now just a spot up shooter with no future in the NBA.
