QG has to look to drive to the basket. He drew the worst starting defenders and now he’ll draw the worst bench defenders. Brunson and RJ would kill to have cones like Trey Young and Liliard guard them all game. 3s can be streaky. But driving should not.

My issue with grimes is that he makes it easy to defend him by being one dimensional on offense. Dante will attack a Defense which immediately helps.

Finally, glad Thibs realized this was the best move to make for this current roster. I think grimes will get more opportunities playing with the second unit especially with Hartensteins passing. I think DDV makes more sense in the starting lineup. Hopefully this change propels the Knicks like last years lineup change.

Not sure why people acting like this is punishment for Grimes. The last 6 games he was playing 20 mins or less. He will get more opportunities offensively off the bench and if you need him to close with the starting unit he can still do so even though he’s not starting. Let’s see how it plays out before we throw Thibs under the bus for it.
