He specifically mentions OG and Pascal in the video. The fact Woj keeps mentioning OG and Pascal whenever he talks about the Pacers is verrrry interesting

  2. Normally I’d feel like I’m reading too far into things but with what Woj has said recently, this feels very much like it’s said with Siakam in mind – and not just as an example

Pacers have some great assets. If they’re willing to put up the right pieces – we HAVE to make this trade happen.

This is very interesting, but man I am a little jealous of Indy for getting Hali. He is going to lead that franchise back to relevance for a long, long time.

Mathurin, Hield and a pick(s) for OG is probably what they offer.

If Masai squeezes Nembhard out of that trade instead of a pick they might be forced to say yes. Then move Pascal to a team like the Warriors and get more picks and young guys. Flipping OG and Siakam into 2 recent lottery picks + 2 good young guys on rookie deals + a pick or 2 with salary filler is a win considering theres little reason to re-sign both and go over the cap with a lottery team

We all have to make an agreement to root for the Pacers this playoffs if they make a splash move at one of our guys.

I think they can keep whoever “said player” is too… young star PG, good coaching, just an awesome team. No reason to leave.

Hey you want to hear some painful 20/20 hindsight? I bet Sacramento would’ve done Halliburton and Hield for Pascal two years ago.

If Pascal goes to the Pacers, I’ll be sad but supportive. If OG goes to the Pacers I’ll be depressed.

siakam will do. OG is valuable and of right age for us. Dont mind sending flynn and siakam there though,

  9. jugglers_despair

For the love of god ship Pascal off for some combo of Hield, young guys, and picks Masai!!!!

Its all I want for Xmas

  10. Can’t make it much more pointed than that

Woj might as well be staring into masais eyes

Not falling for this again. We all know Masai is that guy that sends 8 trade ideas in fantasy then pulls out all of them unless you give up half your team

  12. Thealk3mist

They’re probably aiming for OG , which tbh would make them defensively good. The guy id worry giving up is Pascal to them because Pascal on the fast ass team, will be epic. Picks , Mathurin and we good.

Da Pacers hand a blank cheque to Toronto. Metaphorically of course. Name your price. But 5 minutes before Deadline ends, Masai trades OG and a FRP to San Antonio for 3 conditional all second round picks.

If they can get Mathurin plus a pick (and whatever salary needed to take on), I’ll take it. Nembhard doesn’t interest me. Don’t see him as anything more than a bench player.

Hopefully Indiana feels VERY confident in re-signing whichever player they’d be targeting.

just like over the summer with dame and bucks.. if you hear about it, chances are there’s no concrete deal. they’re just trying to drive and manipulate value.

A trade with the Pacers is hard with their salaries.

I think we should use the Nets as 3rd team and Ben Simmons as salary filler.

    Pascal and Boucher to Pacers

Our expiring to the Nets (Otto & Thad)
Bruce Brown and Smith to the Nets

    Raptors get:
Ben Simmons (just for the salary)
Bennedict Mathurin, T.J., ’24 Pacers pick (their extra one), ’25 protected from the Pacers, ’27 76ers pick from the Nets (the Nets have 3 picks that year this one is the least favorable).

There’s also Jarace Walker. I just dont know how the three FOs view him as an asset. He’s probably going to be a late bloomer. Pacers keeping him give them a rookie in the pipeline after all this though so I’d guess they want to keep him.

  17. Compared to the Portland trade options last deadline/summer, seems like none of the Pacers trade pieces are assets on the level of Simmons, Sharpe or the pick that became Scoot. One of them wasn’t enough for Siakam or OG but two of those pieces would have been an overpay.

On the other hand Indiana has several very solid young pieces, multiple tradeable contracts that aren’t total salary dumps and more picks. So in theory it should be a lot easier to work out a deal if both parties are motivated.

For example the salaries work trading Pascal for:

    1 of Hield/Brown/Turner + 2 of Mathurin/Walker/Nesmith/Smith/Jackson

Then sprinkle in picks and/or Nembhard as needed to make both sides happy.
