Zu average 13.5 ppg and 10 rebounds since the change in the lineup(last 11 games) which is career high in both
With theis and plumlee out I’m surprised ty didn’t give some minutes to tucker. Looks like he’s completely out of the rotation.
Zubac is their key to become a contending team nothing against PJ. They need a threatening big to become successful similar to other contending teams.
I’m a frequent Ty critic here, but credit where credit is due. Zu showed up against an opposition center that could give him problems with physicality and defensive IQ. Ty went with what was working, and didn’t let fall into the common Doc Rivers trap of over relying on end-of-career veteran players when the team was shorthanded at a given position (Paul Pierce at PF in previous seasons; PJ Tucker in this game if Ty had the same flaw)
Zu has been playing great the last few games. All these minutes are going to make him even more of a beast.
God please give us a healthy season to our key players. Just this one. I feel like we can take it all the way to a chip this year if we can stay healthy
It’s not just his scoring, it’s his defense and shot blocking. And please no more post about “here’s my idea for trading Zu. FFS, please! Not being a stan but Zu was never the problem this year or last.
