Short arms don’t help you shoot, but if you do have short arms, you usually have to be able to shoot if you want a chance in the league. It’s selection bias that makes it seem like short arms make better shooters on average.
Jimmy butler has short arms but is not a great shooter, but he’s talented enough in other ways to be great.
