[The Mismatch] Vernon: “There’s a whole niche market for collectors (of vintage wrestling shirts). Haliburton is in these Instagram Live auctions—there might be 30-50 people, Haliburton is routinely in there, anything he wants he gets. He’s on these IG live wrestling auctions with my buddy!”

How vintage exactly? Like DDP/Sting/Austin vintage or like Blassie/Bockwinkel/Race vintage?

  5. When you’re gettin money you end up spending money on a lotta obscure shit

  6. I loved pro wrestling when I was a kid. I think it kinda strange how in love with professional wrestling professional basketball is. I know they’re both on tnt, but it’s kind of weird that they’d associate themselves with something staged.

    Hmm

Tyreese collects wrestling shirts and Myles collects Lego’s. I love this team man

Dick Cheney proposing the Iraq War to Bush.

  9. I mean there’s worse things to spend money on assuming these shirts retain value

Hali is outbidding everyone on wrestling memorabilia and Turner spends a fortune on legos, these dudes are really living my childhood dream

Goddamn it, I thought I was on SquaredCircle again until I saw the flairs.

He was at a WWE PLE earlier this year. I remember them showing him courtside. Then he got to ask a question during the post show press conference. He looked so giddy lol. The dude definitely loves wrestling.

If I was fortunate enough to be a pro athlete I’d take full advantage of doing cool shit like that. He definitely didn’t have to pay for those seats, he just told someone he was a wrestling fan and when they were in Indy he got a front row seat.

I was watching a Pacer’s game. You know how they have them gimmicky giveaways during the timeouts.

Where the contestant has to “compete” vs a player on the video screen. The contestants almost always win, because it’s a giveaway.

They bought a white dude in to name as many wrestlers in 30 seconds. Right off the bat, you know the dude means business. ~~He puts up like 40 names.~~ I was thinking, “Hali isn’t even going to get half has many in 30 secs.”

To my surprise, Hali starts machine gunning out names like I was watching a video at 1.25x speed. Absolutely obliterates the guy. The face of the guy, starring up at the jumbtron in complete shock 😯

He’s just a regular guy outbidding regular guys who don’t make stacks of bands per quarter lol
