Am i the only whos hype about gabe vincent’s return? This video showcased his intense defense last season. You can see some clips of him bothering guys like Trae Young, Harden, Maxey. Imagine his defense alongside Cam / Vando.
The main thing that Gabe adds that we don’t already have is strong screen navigation skills at the point of attack. Cam and Vando both struggle at times with it, they’re both better at the wing stopper role, which means we have to do more level-of-the-screen coverages that tax AD more, deep drop is harder. Gabe adds another dimension to what I expect is already the league’s best defense (certainly has been since Vando and Cam returned)

Is there even a timetable or any updated news on when Gabe is actually going to be returning?

This sub hates him lol but I’m very excited. I think besides his height, his attitude will fit this club really really well. Physical, tough, unafraid. He makes the right play a lot and brings consistency of effort.
I think he ends up taking Max’s minutes and what we lose in positional size and length, we’ll make up for experience and physicality. Crazy how deep we are!

If he’s healthy , we will be even better on defense , which is scary

Much of the outspoken part of this sub is focused on making the same joke about comparing him to K. Nunn, but everyone else who knows his game should be excited about him returning.

As a Heat fan he will be important for y’all. He will have his moments but a good piece to have

Yeah talk about building strength on strength…being able to add a PoA defender like Gabe to our rotation is amazing

Side note : Who else does not want Zach Lavine?

Don’t forget Gabe left when we were short handed and Cam wasn’t what he is now. Gabe had to put way more effort on D so his shot suffered. Similar to AR when he was starting.
